I have some blasted Sanity vouchers to waste. Wouldn't believe the trouble i had with them because 1 was an internet only voucher and the other 3 were actual shop ones so i had to send them in then get a money order to make up the difference grrrh and then had all these complications with it. Anyway i bought this talking Ozzy doll with one and the others am thinking about buying the Eminem album but dunno whether to just get the single, the album and dvd, or just the 8 mile album??? Anybody got his new album or the 8 mile one and is it worth getting or is it just that one good song on it? Oh and how is the movie ne1 been yet?

A lot of eminem fans i know think his new album is crap.
I know a few people that have the 8 mile soundtrack and theyve all said they are dissapointed with it and that basically the only really good song on the album is lose yourself.

oh k ta. He's always had a few good hits mainly coz they're catchy and ya can't get them outta your head. Bringing out an album with one good song and the rest utter rubbish though i don't agree with. Think he acts like a complete **** on stage too telling young people to drink and stuff but having seen some clips from the movie before on the website it does look like he can act!

He can act, believe you me. Seen the movie twice now and it blows my mind each time. He has natural talent, although I'm not going to start comparing him to Elvis like everyone else seems to be doing.
Brittany Murphy does herself no credit in this movie, however. But thats just my personal opinion.

Can not for the life of me work out the elvis comparison. Think he's definately the king of whatever u would call this style of music hes making 'white boy rap' ? Kinda how Nirvana were the kings of grunge.
The movie looks like one you'd want to see over and over. Hopefully in a few months Foxtel will get it on a few times.
Is Brittany Murphey the blonde one? There was a blondey on the 8 mile website who lookt really pretty.
Whats the connection with this movie and his real life....anything?

Brittany Murphy is the little blonde one, yep. She plays a little.. well.. whorish type character in the movie.. and I've seen better from her. She doesnt suit this type of role IMHO.
Apparently the movie is 'loosely' based on his actual rise to fame. He grew up in Detroit, blah blah blah.. had problems with his mother.. probably got beaten up a lot aswell! But yeah.. its practically a take on his rise to fame.

I just bought the single what a waste of 5 bucks! It's good but you would think with a single they would throw in a couple of other better tracks than whats on there. Some rap garbage and a version of losin it without the lyrics. My talking ozzy doll that just arrived on the other hand :D well worthy so at least stupid old Sanity has come in good for something!

Rap garbage? Renegade is an awesome song. How is it a waste of 5 bucks? Didn't you buy the single to hear Lose Yourself (not called Losin It by the way)?
yeh obviously u have heard lose yourself before u boughtt he single so u must like that song in order to buy the single so why complain, and if its the renegade with jay z ur talking about thats a mad song

Nah he didnt. He didnt have time to write em because he was working on the Eminem Show, 8 Mile Soundtrack, Fliming 8 Mile...so he hired a washed up rapper from the 80's that's purely a battle rapper now. Craig G is his name.

You obviously have no appreciation for good music. Renegade was one of the best hip-hop songs of 2001-2002. I can't believe you would call that garbage.

Anyone who tells people they have no appreciation for music knows **** all about the music scence in general. Whether you like metal or ****in opera any idiot knows that everybody's music taste is different. So what i ventured out of my depth and bought something i wouldn't normally listen to does that make me not know anything about music because in my personal opinion it sucked? Foolishness!
BTW it was free like i care i make easy free cd's every day at work when i kick everyones arses and win sanity vouchers :D

Spidy, you didn't say it was your opinion that you didn't like the music, you said it was rap garbage. In my honest opinion Hit Me Baby One More Time was an enlightening neo-classical melody with vibrant pop culture overtones and intuitive lyrical development!!

Im a huge Eminem fan and I have the 8 Mile soundtrack.
He has 3 songs on the album. 'Lose Yourself', 'Run Rabbit Run' and '8 Mile' (my opinion the best song on the album. But he also feautures with D12 in 'Rap Game' and another song with 50 Cent.
The album is ok but they needed more Eminem songs on it. Its the other songs that let down the album in my opinion. Still a decent soundtrack though.

2nd Soundtrack will be much better
Filled with heaps of Classic hip hop songs.
Pretty sure most of them were used in the movie. ie: Freestyle battles

I'm a big eminem fan. I don't like the 8 mile soundtrack as much as the eminem show.
I don't listern to much rap and that might be why.

You didn't even pay for the single, so why the f*** are you complaining? Maybe you should of got whatever is number one on the Sanity charts, which happens to be Lose Yourself, funny that, follower.

obviously it wasnt actually freestyled but they had to write them as free styles not rap lyrics
