Peverill did use that number :D
i'd consider 22, 11, 29
or 5 for the good times.

I tip the bombers to win and when Jetta fumbled like 15 metres out, I was convinced it was over. Then somehow, for the sky thy came, a new form of hero...ZAKARAKIS! got me a very handy winner on the tips, finished with 5, good result ;)

I got 11 on my jumper last week. My Collingwood mates were ribbing me saying it was a bit pre-mature.

Its been a few years since i had the 18 on the back. What is the best way to attach numbers these days?
Iron on - will it wreck the jumper?
Stiched on - which looks bodgy at best?

Reimers is the cult hero for EFC, but there will be a lot of love for this boy.

Went onto Bblitz and saw everyone has started calling him Souvlaki. Would just like to say I called him that first.

I've noticed a lot of 6's on jumpers. TBH I think it's pathetic given that most of those jumpers are being worn by pre-pubecent girls who carry signs saying MARRY ME ANGUS!

He is very cute tho. I do often find myself wondering where the hours of the day have gone after being awoken from my day dream about guss's schoolboy looks and puppydog eyes. :D

you think it's pathetic that we have supporters who are willing to shell out their hard-earned on club merchandise?

I've got the #6 on my jumper and I'm neither of the above...but then again I did get the number due to my man love for Sean Wellman.

FWIW the nickname ZAKA is pissing me off. He is name is ZAHArakis. No Zac, Zak or Zack to be seen. Do we need to 'bogan-ify' every footballer's surname?

Just for the record, I stand by my suggestion to call him something Roger Federer-related.

isn't Zaka both the nickname his mates call him by, and the number-plate of his car?

Nicknames can be anything, you know - there's no guidelines that must be followed

I don't think ZAKA is a "cult hero". Zaka is just a star with silky smooth skills rain hail or shine! and will go close on winning rising star and is a future Leader for the club!

Now Riemers is the clubs "cult hero"!!

he's got the boots, the anger management problem and all! haha :D

GO DONS! TOP 4 after round 6!

Obviously Jimmy remains my all-time No.1

This is not to take anything away from Zaka as I think he has a bright future - but I think the next EFC cult hero will definitely be Reimers.

He will be an Akermanis type of player - we will all love him, and everyone else will absolutely hate him.

Kick the winning goal and you are a hero but overall he did not do a lot.
10 possessions for a midfielder is not a great return.
He has played much better in previous games but gets the hero worship for a great goal :)

Got # 7 on my new jumper the Mrs got me for xmas. Gave her a choice of #7 or #3 (don't like to pick the obvious, although last time that resulted in #20 for Ted Richards :(!).

Was looking like an inspired choice until...

Jetta fumbled like 15 metres out, I was convinced it was over.

Surely Leroy will still prove my faith correct though.....

Agree. Not until fans are using a derivative of his name as their BF Username (perhaps combined with a suggestion of a frenzy), will he be considered a "cult" hero! ;)

Zaka's form has been up and down and is struggling a bit.

He could be due for a rest or a game ot two at Bendigo !

I would like to play him this week for 2 reasons

1) experience at playing at an interstate venue
2) the club does have injuries

Was it a sew-on number? I'm guessing it was. 7 is much easier than 3.

If you'd given her carte blanche, she would have come back with 1.... or maybe 11.

Although the 20 is puzzling. Did she just get a new Janome at the time! ;)

LMAO

No chance my mrs would be sewing numbers on!:D

Its an iron on number, but I think they did it for her at the Bombershop anyway?

I ironed on the #20 in 2002-03 & must have done it too well..... couldn't get the damn things off after he got traded and now have two weird deformed numbers on the back :(. Wanted to replace it with # 15 as a sort of continuation following the trade.

Too classy to be a cult hero. Cult hero`s are more in the battler zone such as Jack Mihochek or God forbid, Mark Bolton. The current one would have to be Mick Quinn. Zaka is way above a cult hero.
