What palyers will you sign at the end of this year as part of the 12x17 years old program? And do you get to sign these players before the draft or after or do you sign 6 before and 6 after?

If I would was the GC recruiters I would be targeting:

Tom Scully
Kane Lucas
Mike Fitzpartick

These 3 players likely to go pick 1 2 and 3 which means you can vasically get picks 1 2 and3 from the 2009 and 2010 draft?

Thoughts?

Lionshine the Gold Coast can only sign players who are ineligible for the draft, those previously thought of us bottom age players. They can only sign sign 12 x 17 year-olds born in the January – April window (Jan-April 1992).

My possible 12 would be:
1. Maverick Weller
2. Josh Toy
3. Luke Mitchell
4. Tom Nicholls
5. Dylan Conway
6. Trent Mckenzie
7. Brandon Matera
8. Alex Keath
9. Lucas Cook
10. Hayden Jolly
11. Luke Russel
12. Ben Jacobs

I do not know if this will be the exact list, but it may be at least half right depending on which kids accept. I would have included Steven May from NT, I think he plays for, but I think that they might pick him up as one of three zoned players they are allocated from there.

rumour mill is in overdrive that mckenna has approached David Swallow and told him he will be in the top 3 picks. All the scouters and managers are talking about it.

Kid is a gun, 6,3 can run like the wind, kick both feet, mark, kick goals play in and under...good move.

They have obviously set GC up to dominate for the next 10 years. The 17yr olds, uncontracted players and national draft picks are going to combine to create a huge wealth of talent in the club. I hope that it doesnt come back to bite them in the arse if a bunch of these kids come on and start wanting more and more game time and money, there could be a few quality players leaving because of lack of oppertunity.

This of course opens up future drafts for GC as those kids who cant break into the team will be traded for decent draft picks anyway.
