Watson is out of the World Cup and Harvey is in for him, but what will happen in Bevan is out?
Bring on Steve Waugh if Bevan is out I say.
Michael Clarke will come in,.... well should.
All we have to do is get rid of Symonds and we might have a shot at it.

LMAO :D
Very disappointing for Watson he just started to hit some form but it wont matter all that much providing they pick Hogg or Harvey ahead of Symonds. I didn't realise Symonds was so useless with the bat, even Harvey could beat that ****weak effort.
Is Bevan such a big loss? I couldn't knock his match winning ability in the past but is he still capable of reproducing that form? Maybe a Clarke in the middle order is the best thing to happen after all :(

that about sums up our allrounder situation.

Any side that has Ian Harvey and Andrew Symonds in the same squad is going to have to rely on other players to do something special to win the World Cup.
And Michael Bevan's probable absence from the squad could be a blessing in disguise for Australia.

agreed cricket is a team game and how ironic he probaly did more damage by going that extra 5 yds to keep his average up.
cheers!
You'd have to say Hogg is our #1 all rounder now - at least he's conrtibuting with bat and ball!

So the consensus is that Symonds, Harvey and Blewett dont rate as allrounders - and although Hogg is starting to show something - is there any one else? - I suppose someone will say Steve Waugh! - we obviously have to forget Watson atm - Lehmann can bowl 10 overs on his day!
dzm
I would have thought that Lee Castledine would be a chance.

Kade Harvey?
You probably all think i am taking the **** but this guy can bat and bowl, and i personally believe he is a better batsmen and bowler that Ian Harvey.
If no all-rounder's form demands inclusion, don't pick one. Better off getting a few overs out of batsmen who can bowl, and the effect of not having an all-rounder is felt even less if there are tailenders who can bat.
Besides, having a keeper who opens and scores at a run a ball, ain't that an all-rounder anyway?
Look at the English side, they've got four all-rounders... Irani, Blackwell, Flintoff and arguably Collingwood. If all-rounders are such an essential part of any one-day team, surely the Poms would be world-beaters? No... because the all-rounders they have are not world class (not yet anyway) so their tail starts early, and their part time bowlers come on at first change.
