I out of all our injuries which player do you miss most personally?
For me I have to say I am missing Reimer, his flair (and boots) light up our team and make us even better to watch when we are playing well.

i miss reimers and his orange boots i love watching him play he has got flair and he is tuff as nails the thing i love about him is his boots :) he is my favourite player so is alwyn davey and lovett i love it wen they run because its exciting to watch and lts funny when the other players trying to chase them when they have no hope. i also miss matthew lloyds old days we he use to mark anything that came to him and got like 5-6 goals a game. but the main one i miss is james hird he is a star :)

And his speech at the end of last season almost assured him being our next captain.
Where is he, bloody stupid move in round 4 has resulted in missing 3+ weeks

not out injured but may as well be - Scotty! booming one home from 60:thumbsu:
One of the glorious sights in football.
Mark Mercuri takes the ball around a pack, weavs, stops, weaves again (cannot be tackled no matter how hard the oppoisition tries), gets around the wood be tackler, accelerates and then stabs a 30m pass onto the chest of Alessio (if I want the wog connection) or Lloyd (because it is Lloyd and he must have kicked a few of his 900 that way).

Exactly what I was going to say. But swap Alwyn for Windas.
That #37 jumper was the best thing I ever bought.

Our best players - McVeigh, Hille.
Who cares about the others they are insignificant.

Short-sighted.
If we had our best 22 bar Prismall, we'd be right. Bar Welsh, we'd be right. Bar Laycock, we'd be right. Bar Reimers, we'd be right. etc.
However, with the following all missing from our best 22:
B: Slattery - Hurley - Reimers
HB: Dempsey - Pears - Fletcher
C: Winderlich - Watson - Lovett
HF: McPhee - Ryder - Davey
F: Monfries - Lloyd - McVeigh
R: Hille - Welsh - Stanton
I: Laycock - Lonergan - Prismall - Skipworth
it adds up. 8/22 is massive, regardless of the quality of the players. If you ranked those 22 players from 1-22, and took out the bottom 8, leaving the best 14 players, it'd still hurt a lot.

I don't consider Laycock, Prismall, Skipworth, Hurley, Monfries to be automatic selections in our best 22 at this point in time.

Then do yours, with injured players in bold.
You'll get a figure pretty close to 1/3 of the team injured.

Something like that I think. Yes we have a lot out but Hille, McVeigh and Fletch are crucial. They are the guys we'll miss the most and I'll miss the most because they are the ones that make us a much better side.

McVeigh, Welsh, Remiers...guys who love hard footy and a good old fashioned tustle!!!!
I miss seeing Remiers go toe to toe with the opposition! Dale Thomas especially!
McVeigh, can't have enough blokes in the side that can win their own footy not to mention use the footy.
In terms of team development and structure we miss Gumby, it would be great to be getting games into him right about now. I can't remember wanting a kid to make it as much as i want gumby to.

So 6-7/22. That's about 1/3 of the best 22. That hurts any team. List Geelong's team, Hawthorn's team, and take out the positions listed there.
No Scarlett, no Milburn, no Ottens, no Selwood, no Kelly, no Wojcinski, no Hawkins.
Ouch.
I don't consider Laycock, Prismall, Skipworth, Hurley, Monfries to be automatic selections in our best 22 at this point in time.
Laycock is considering Lucas isn't. Easy to forget that Laycock is a good kick for goal and a decent option up forward. Has moved his goal average up to 1 a game.
Prismall might be, though given he hasn't played for us yet it's hard to know.
Skipworth I don't know. He's pretty borderline with a few others and at the least puts pressure on team selection and makes sure we have an optino for that 21st place that is in good form.
Hurley likely isn't, but he's probably an EMG, which is close.
