Boooorrrrrring hottest 100. Worst one ever. The fact that Salmon Hater got in the list really peeves me off. It really is bloody annoying. Ha ha ha so it was funny, but I thought the Hotttest 100 was about the best songs in 2002, not one released in 2003 as a joke to hijack the count!

The worst band in the world getting 2 songs in the top 10 is not a good thing.
yes, quite atrocious...
along with POD's 'youth of a nation'.... MGF's 'rollecoaster' and 'pussytown' would easily be in my worst songs of 2002...
The Hottest 100 is usually complete ****....well most of it is anyway.

And costing a quality band like Jebediah the Number 100 spot.:D
But that Salmon Hater song was funny, but you really needed to hear all the build up to it to understand it all. For people who just heard the song for the 1st time on Sunday just won't understand the whole thing.
seems to be getting more commercial every year. the androids? ...

That was a great list. QOTSA deserved the nu,ber 1 spot. Well doone to Dave Grohl who was in their 9 times, adn all fully deserved. Also well done to the Waifs a good effort.
A little disappointed with Machine Gun Fellatio and The Vines, polled too high IMO. MGF 2 songs in the top 10? wtf?\
Other than that a good list overall.
Little disappointed Death in Vegas' "Hands Around Your Throat" didn't get in. Also thought Grinspoon's "1000 Miles" and Rocket Science's "Being Followed" would finish a little higher.
Happy to see MGF get some votes (sorry guys but I quite like them, I didnt vote for them though), but two in the top 10 was a little undeserved.
Overall not bad.

There is no explaining the taste of some people.

Absolutely. I thought it was hilarious that it got in. Apparently Adam and Will had already conceded to the other DJ's that they knew it wouldn't get in.
Top work! I laughed when I heard it at number 26. :D

My god they are a real band? Saw them on the big day out coverage and thought who the F has ever heard of them. Looked like they couldn't sing for sh1t to me then again maybe they're big in the country or something? In typical big day out and Channel V fashion they got talked up like they were gods!

Who the F has heard of them? Are they a real band? Just because FOX FM doesn't play them doesn't mean they don't exist.
Talked up like they were gods?? I think they got talked up because they are an underrated band that have been overlooked for years and years...
I guess they are no Dave Grohl tho *rolls eyes*

salmon haters got in!!! I couldn't stop laughing when i saw that. kinda undermines the whole top 100 scheme though doesn't it - i'm surprised the triple j guys allowed them to promote something like that. oh well.
i reckon it's a good list. i think pearl jam deserved some more kudos as did motor ace. queens of the stone age fully deserved there spot - great to see the foos doing well.
In the end though these top 100 lists are really a waste of time IMO - but still fun to look at. Most of the time they don't represent what is good music anyway - everything is subjective i spose. anyways - that's all.

The Waifs are ok IMO, nothing special and not deserving of the number 3 spot. Nothing brilliant live. I have nothing against them just don't do much for me.

The first hottest 100 compared to this years is like the Ramones compared to Avril, the whole list from 93 (almost) has a real alternative feel to it. Personally i think after the 4th one it started to gradually slip year by year.
This year's Hottest 100 was an absolute travesty...

10 actually, 5 QOTSA, 4 Foo Fighters and a Nirvana, or am I counting wrong?
MGF getting in the top 10 is an embarrassment to our country - quite possibly the worst band ever to get airplay.
For a band that has only toured Australia once and keep a non-existent profile on mainstream radio, Weezer have had an extraordinary number of top 20 hits - if they tour it will be BIG!

Not sure if i've ever complained about being stereotyped i think its more a problem with other peoples perceptions of me. eg/ those who have no idea about me at all

Exactly, you watched them live on channel V, how can you know what they are like live unless you are actually there, they are totally different experiences.

Actually tv and radio can make some pretty ordinary bands sound a lot better than they are
