Okay, i admit I've lifted this from a book (The Guinness Cricket Quiz Book by Philip Bird), but it's an absolute ripper of a question.

Which (former) FA Premier League goalkeeper played in the Shropshire side that beat Yorkshire in the 1984 Nat West Trophy?

And for Australian fans... who holds the record for the most centuries in one Sheffield Shield season?

Answer to the first question is Steve Ogrizovic.

The second question is a tougher one, although I do recall that during the weakened days of the late 1970s, a batsman by the name of David Ogilvile scored the record number of centuries in a domestic first-class season, even bettering Bradman.

The first answer is correct, Ogrizovic played four domestic one dayers as a fast bowler for Shropshire in 1983 and 1984.

Keep trying on the second one. Several players have scored five or more centuries in a Shield season (Ogilvie scored six in 1977-78), but only one bloke has scored seven.

Speaking of Coventry City's Steve Ogrizovic, did you know he's the most recent goalkeeper to score in a Div1/Premiership game?

Can you name the year, team & keeper of the other team?

Steve scored his goal in the away game for Coventry vs. Sheffield Wednesday on the 25th Oct 1986. The game ended in a 2-2 draw and Steve scored Coventrys second goal in that game. It was a long clearance kick that went in. (http://hem.passagen.se/bully/ogrizovi.html)

Well done.

Anybody know who was in goal for Wednesday that day?
