I think Ian Harvey when on his game could take any batter in the world on with da ball. He also is a great bat.

Better than Symonds.

Harvey may be brilliant when on song ... they only trouble is he doesn't sing that often.

He is a very good bowler, but his batting lets him down.

The guy can bowl but his batting is just ****e...he can't make a run for Victoria so how is he going to make runs at 7 against the worlds best?!?!?

he made 2 ducks on the weekend....

and made hardly any for Dandenong b4 xmas when he played...

Ian Harvey is one of the best in Victoria's line-up.But he keeps being ignored by the australian Selectors, who cant see beyond Brett Lee or Goose Bevan.

You want the selectors to omit Brett Lee? Haven't you been watching?

Whatever happened to Shane Lee? He would have to be better than any current allrounder if he was in form.

Yes, Shane Lee is a very good player but he must be injured because I haven't seen him play for a long time.

fat, out of form, and past it.

has the rather rare and dubious honour of the 'being someone's brother' tag being reversed.

He had a few injury problems early in the season - but with the Waughs & Katich now in the NSW side when they weren't last season there's no room for Shane Lee in the side any more.
Not that inability to get a game for NSW stopped Gavin Robertson or Peter Taylor getting a gig for Australia.

Having not been an automatic inclusion at the start of the season, he is obviously struggling to get back in... whether this is just injury or not good enough form, I don't know.

But I wouldn't write him off, as a state cricketer at least. He is 29 and has shown he is a very good state & county player, something which his occasional Australian ODI performances attest to.

With both Waughs nudging 38, and Slater in his early 30s and form varying between patchy and appalling, Lee is adequately positioned to push for a NSW spot for a few years yet. Admittedly the recruiting of Katich and the maturing of Clarke don't help him, but I figure within the next year or so he can claim his spot back.

I don't think he'll play for Australia again though, regardless of how well he plays for NSW in future. Time to move on and invest in younger players such as Watson and (possibly) Kremerskothen, Carseldine and Wright.

Is he only 29? I thought he was about 33 these days.
