Yes, you've read it right. Opeth to tour Australia in April, 2003!!
Tour dates from Opeth.com
April - 2003
10th - Brisbane, The Arena
11th - Melbourne, The Corner
12th - Adelaide, Uni Bar
13th - Sydney, The Metro
There are also rumours that Alchemist will support. :)

I am fcking STOKED!!!!
And, I have it on good authority (ie. Jonas!) that they'll be playing a 'cover' (of their own song) "Blinded by Fear" (At The Gates).
All because I asked them nicely!

Just got my tix for the Haunted!!! ...and an update to Sydneysiders - Opeth tickets at the Metro go on sale on the 12th of Feb.

Anyone known when Opeth ticks for the Melbourne concert go on sale, and where I can get them from?
Try Metal Mayhem. They're bound to sell them.
It's Perth's fault for building a city so far away from anywhere else. :)

I read an interview with the band recently, and they said they might be doing a few different things when they play live. When they come here, they will have released "Damnation" and they say they might use plenty of acoustic guitars when they play. Nothing is certain, but it's an idea they are entertaining.
Either way, it's going to be brilliant! :D
