ANDREW Welsh is poised to make his comeback from a gruesome leg injury on Sunday week.
The Essendon midfielder has pencilled in a return in the Bendigo Bombers' home game against Coburg in Round 7 of the VFL after being close to selection this week.
"Everything's going really well. I hope to be back in two weeks' time," Welsh told superfooty.com.au program Front and Square.

Excited to hear about this...I just hope we aren't rushing him back to quick!!!

Good news.

The best part is with him and Prismall returning and others performing well there will be a lot of competition for spots in the side.

Good News.

I did a course about 2 years ago at VU and Welshy was in the same course (along with Sam Lonergan & Andrew Lee) - he is a top bloke and was funny in class so i wish him all the best... very good player IMO he is a good meaning for the term utility.

On another note how hot is his mrs:thumbsu:

As excited as i am about this, as Welshy is a great role model and leader at the club, really want to see Reimers up and about.

Our season is shaping very very nicely.
All our injuries have had some luck in them. (shortened. that is.)
Gumbleton, is next.

Great news - I didn't expect him to make any contribution this season after hearing about the injury.

If we have a decent run of luck for the rest of the season our selectors are going to have a lot think about...

The great thing about having so many injuries over the last two years is that if we have a full list to pick from there will be 30-35 good players who have played the game to pick from.

Welsh has been gone for such a long time that I don't even remember what his injury was

Last night Nathan Brown said our list was the most improved in the competition. Looks like that improvement may be exceeded in the not too distant future. I'm starting to think we'll make the eight (fingers firmly crossed).
