I just watched 'I know what you did last summer' and noticed that in the Beauty Pagent scenes there was a marching band playing the East Perth and West Perth themes respectively.
Does anyone know if any football club (Aussie Rules) theme song has been played in a movie before?

Yeah.
Central District, West Adelaide & Hawthorn - Yankee Doodle Dandy
Norwood, Sturt & Melbourne - Grand Ol' Flag
Were in the timeless classic "Yankee Doodle Dandy"
Different words ofcourse but the same tune.

Aren't most footy songs just ripped off American tunes?

North Adelaide's is original.
Isnt Brissy's based on the French national anthem and Geelong's on Toriador?
Crows is a yankee naval marching theme but Port Powers is original as are Freo's and West Coast's.
Hard to know what Centrals, Westies and the Eagles are based on as they seem to change them every year.
At least when Norwood and Sturt fans go to watch their teams play each other they know they'll hear their club song at the end of the day, that's very lame having the same one, even though it is a good song.

At least our song at Uni of Queensland AFC, "Drunk Last Night" is only a ripped-off pommie drinking song. Most impressively, the song doesn't mention football, and the only reference to our team name is the single word "varsity".

If Port beat Collingwood at footy park this year Roger Rasheed should 'accidently' put on 'cheer cheer the black and the white' Eddie might get that riot he's spoiling for then!

The mighty Bulldogs theme song is orininal.
We are the mighty Bulldogs
Always fighting on
With true grit and courage we win
So come on South lets play the game
And show them how to win
South Fremantle for ever more.
Ahhh brings a tear to my eye.
I have fond memories of singing it with great gusto after the 1997 grand final. That and happy birthday to you.
Great day.

Most original theme I'd heard to date was one for Latrobe Uni ... who finished a seemingly classy song with "and then its out to the streets for a shag".
