Pre Season Draft

Small article in Wednesday's Herald Sun stated that both Richmond and the Western Bulldogs were unlikely to participate in the upcoming pre-season draft in December.

Maybe there is nothing but trash available?

Or does it mean salaray cap problems still (even after trading Harrison) and we may need to go with a short list again this year?

A report in this mornings Sunday Herald Sun states that Richmond will not participate in next weeks pre-season draft as doing so will create the probability of breaching the salary cap.

This advice has come from AFL investigations office Michael Easy who is auditing the books of all clubs.

We will go into the season with 1 spot available which will give us an option to promote a rookie list player if circumstances warrant it.
