After IMO a very good start to the season in beating the arch rivals in Collingwood and Carlton, Premiers in Hawthorn and matching it for 3 quarters with a potential grand final side in St Kilda i have been happy this season. Our ups are up and our downs are down however i am proud to say i am seeing more ups recently.

So, for a bit of fun, and possibly end of season glory or embarresment, lets have a go at predicting the results of the rest of the season and revisit it after round 22 to see who was close.

Here's my crack:

v RICH MCG AWAY Win.
v GEE ETI HOME Hard fought Loss.
v ADE ETI HOME Win
v MEL ETI HOME Win
v CAR MCG HOME Win. Why not? already done it before this year
v COLL MCG AWAY Win. Same as above
v SYD SCG AWAY Loss, tough game
v WBD ETI HOME Loss
v RICH MCG AWAY Win
v WCE SUB AWAY Tough Win
v BRI MCG HOME Again, tough Win
v STK MCG HOME Hard to predict, heart says win, head says Loss. Loss
v FRE SUB AWAY Win
v HAW MCG AWAY Tough game, will peak at the end of the year. Win.

That totals another 10 wins to put us 14-8 for the season. Optimistic? Yes but i have faith in this club.

I hate these threads.

How can you predict a game one week away, let alone 14 weeks away? Pure shambles.

The last 3 matches looked killer when the draw was released and nothing has changed.

It's a shame, and it would be very disappointing to miss the finals from 9-6 but it still looks like we'll end up with 10-11 wins and 9-10th.

I am not going to get my hopes up after 8 rounds. It can only lead to disappointment.

agreed

my tip for this year was the same as last years: 9th-12th

after the start we've had, and the names we're missing, i might revise that to 6th-10th, but i wouldn't want to be more optimistic than that.

I'm expecting 10-12 wins.

Durability in key positions is our potential stumbling point, although the midfield should improve.

This year's a bonus year in my book. Keep going forward whilst building the foundations of a team to really compete in a couple of years, or sooner.

Yeah looking at our draw we should be looking at 10-12 wins IMO. I think we might get 1 of the 2 trips to subi though.

If we're gonna make finals we're gonna have to beat most of teams around us ie. Carlton, Collingwood, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and I guess Hawthorn too.

If only we played the Pies this week. 5 in a row against Carlton? They're really gonna make us earn it. Swans will be very tough at the SCG. We've got a great record against the Crows in Melbourne. Brisbane at the MCG is very winnable. Hawthorn should be really hitting their straps come round 22 and they'll probably beat us.

Must beat the Tigers this week though.
