Hey bomber fans,

today i was doing work experience and was lucky enough to work with your two main men in mercs and smokin on the new bomber merchandise catalogue and i have to say they're looking mighty fit and relaxed and and genuinely very nice blokes. Both assured me that they were in good health altho mercs had arthiscopic surgery on his knee. I was talking to them about the pre-season and last year and their possible transfers two seasons ago and they were both frank and honest in their replies.

I just wanted to say that i hope they have a fantastic season and for my kangaroos sake not too good a game in the wizza, which smokin told me they are going to take very seriously this year and try and win. btw he's also having a new kid very shortly so there's something to look forward to

I remember when North played Essendon in the 2000 finals series (when Essendon flogged us) and Misiti must have had at least 15 centre clearances. Age doesn't erode that sort of innate ball getting ability.

I think the added responsibility falling on the shoulders of both Misiti and Mercuri with the departure of Heffernan/Blumfield/Caracella will benefit them. They will be the go-to men in the centre (along with J. Johnson), and will thrive on the added workload through necessity.

Yeah, met Joey a couple of times through his cricket commitments with Keilor Park. He is a genuine bloke who is pretty easy to talk to. not a bad cricketer, at local level, too. I think he made 70 odd on the weekend!

Don't know much about Merc's life outside footy (apart form the obvious of recent times), but wouldn't surprise that he and Joey are pretty similar. They come from good families and are good mates both at and away from the game.

Here's hoping that they can have big years to erase the memories of a couple of injury riddled seasons that they have had over the past coupel of years.

And good luck to North, apart from when they meet the Bombers!!!:D

PS - My local footy club, Aberfeldie, has an ex-North bloke as Coach this season in Ross Smith, who is one of the good blokes. Well in the many times I've had anything to do with him he has been, anyway. Played a bit of cricket with him too and he's prety handy there, also.
