Australia have revealed their new world cup secret...

Matty Hayden batting at 9....

Australia hit 280....all the players got a reasonable hit....Lehmann 64 retired...

Hogg 31...

North West are 0/6 after 3 overs...

and Gillespie hasn't broken down yet after his 1 over..great signs...

I don't really see the point of him batting at 9. Sure give Maher a chance to open the batting and strut his stuff but maybe the better option would have been not batting Hayden at all and giving Harvey a chance with the bat.

What's that going to prove? Everyone already knows he can't bat.

Ian Harvey just might surprise you if given the chance, especially if he decides to play his natural game.

I will bet you as much as you like he doesn't make over 100 runs for the tournament.

That's actually quite tempting considering the only teams he will play against will be Namibia and Holland.

Give me some time to think about it. ;)

Hogg got a run a ball 31 and 2 for 20 off nine.I reckon hes going to start as the all rounder.

You might be right there... but if you are I'd rather it be because noone could get our top order out as opposed to Harvey batting 5 or 6 times and failing to score many runs.
