Yesterday Tim, Bill and Andy were (still) talking about the Richmond situation.

Tim mentioned that there was a player in 1997 that was a large part of the push to unseat Sheeds from the coaching position.

Tim said that this player remained at the club and continued to play in the 2000 premiership, but that act in 1997 forever changed his relationship with the coach.

Any ideas who it was?

Justin Blumfield, Matthew Lloyd, Sean Wellman, Scott Lucas, Steve Alessio, Dustin Fletcher, John Barnes, Dean Wallis, Blake Caracella, Joe Misiti, Mark Mercuri, Gary Moorcroft, Darren Bewick, Damien Hardwick, James Hird (Capt), Michael Long, Chris Heffernan, Jason Johnson, Paul Barnard.

hmm. I suspect Steve Alessio.

I'm pretty sure I've heard it was Boris but he has denied it.

Yeah he was one of the ones that made sense.

The player in question would have been relatively senior in 1997, so I don't even think he was a '93 'Baby Bomber' like Hird, Fletcher, Mercuri, Misiti.

So the only non-Baby Bomber 93/00 Premiership players are Longy (as if!!!!!!), Wallis (Sheedy lovechild), Boris and Alessio.

So 50/50 IMHO.

Yeah Boris talks about the accusations in Jigsaw Man, compiled by Tim Watson.
