I was talking with a few mates about footy, when someone posed the question "Who was Richmonds captain before Matthew Knights?" For the life of us, nobody could get it! I looked through all my old footy records (the last in my collection are around 1994), and I could not find the answer! At work there is a mad Richmond supporter, and I asked him and he too didnt know. So can anyone please save us and tell us - Who was Richmonds captain before Matthew Knights??

1995 I Think, Freezer was an assistant coach with Northey in the finals campaign.


Knighta was the vice captain and acting captaing from 1993 on after Freezer was king hit by Bretran in the 1993 match against the swan. He never realy played againg after that.

I think that may have been 1994 that Freezer missed out, and then did his knee in 1995.

Knighter was officially captain for the 1997 season after standing in for Freezer for near on 3 seasons!

Freezer was captain before Knighter.

Was my favorite player until injured and forced to retire.
