No one could beat the lovely Elisabeth from Survivor 2 - Australia. If only I were thirty years younger!:p

One and a half hour episode to begin the series this time. No surprise as to the bootee if you follow spoiler sites. Yahoo's Survivor Pick'em game isn't running for this series. I've watched every episode from every series so far. Can't believe the original premiered almost three years ago! Have an autographed photo of the infamous Susan Hawk from the first series. What balls she had!:eek: :D

The guys stuffed up the first challenge:p Some are a bit too "snag"I think.

The men were set up! The editing is half the fun of watching the show. If you read some of the spoiler sites it was quite obvious Ryan would be booted. This week's bootee is rather obvious based on vidcaps for Episode 2.

Why the hell couldn't Daniel get across that pole? Was he afraid of getting splinters up his ass?:D And why would those women wash their buffs with the drinking water? And did you see Christy's armpit hair? On Day 39 OK, but on Day 1???

I'd have to agree that Richard from the original Survivor was the most devious of all competitors. He had nothing to base his strategy on. Brian from the last series learned a lot from him. I am the proud owner of an autographed photo of Susan Hawk from the first series. She was a real man's man!

I am thinking ogf running Bigfooty survivor: the clubs, but I think there is a lack of interest.

I couldn't even get a volunteer to play for melbourne (I was joking about them needing $3.5m to enter)

If I get some interest I will have a 'dummy' immunity challenge this weekend (it all starts again in round 1)

They're a bit ordinary IMO. Survivor 6 lacks a bit of spark. I'm actually looking forward to another series of The Amazing Race.....want to see another Flo type:D

Survivor 2 - Australia was absolutely fantastic, I was addicted to it.. but then I didn't get into the rest of them.

But the new series in the Amazon is fantastic IMO, I'm back into Survivor obesessed mood

I thought it kind of strange that they voted off the best worker and provider they had.
And the girl who is the elected leader went with them.
I would have gotten rid of the moaner.
What a waste. well tonights the shower up date night on the show with a one on one.
Let's see how the sex starved guy does.
They have not fared well in any close contact with the women at all.

Can someone tell me what happened on Wednesday? My brother stopped taping it when the got to the rope burning fridge winning challenge :rolleyes:

This is where the guys won the reward challange.
Got a small fridge worth of Coke. They were behind after the first two fires but the women had problems working to move the fire to the last two areas. The guys scorched themselves holding off the wind to get their last three fires running hot and high a lot quicker than the women did.
And the electric to run the fridge to keep the coke cold.
They then had the next challange which was a fishing challange.
They supplied both teams with poles and bait to catch as many fish as a team could in one hour.
They put them in an area, about 100 yards apart, where they knew there were a lot of Pirhana fish to catch. And they did.
One of the guys was just baiting hooks and taking the fish off them to speed things up.
The women were more one by themselves.
Although they did show that it seemed to be even in the catching department.
The guys won by a big margin.
The got to keep all the fish - women got nothing.
So the guys got a bunch of fish to eat plus a fridge to keep them in.
The women went to the vote - and one of them was just wanting to get out of the game - one of the younger ones.
But they voted off the best worker the women had because they thought she would be too strong later in the game.
Go figure.

Previews showed the girl still moaning and laying about.

And a sort of date night for two of the younger contestants.

And they left it at that.

They showed the next one last night in the states....
But will not say anything about that.

The show coming up missed the spot when they could have.
But you never know what they put into one countries telecast as opposed to the US version.

The tribe 'swap; has highighted a couple of insights into male-female relations.

When the guys and girls are apart the guys lust after the girls and the girls treat them like dirt.

Mix them up again and the opposite happens.

Can't believe the recovery the girl made once she fancied one of the guys

Meanwhile in the other tribe the guys are 'expending' the girls one by one

I'd be voting Shawna off for sure next time! I'm so sick, no-one understands how low I am, I'm falling apart. Oh poor thing we'll do all the work, look after you, feed and water you until you get better. Bring on tribe change, in comes the boys and immediate recovery!

What gets me is that these people must have watched previous shows of this.
What possesses them to have themselves stick out like that.
They make themselves a target to get booted out.

On the team switch - I think they are evenly matched now.
But the guys are dominate in both tribes and will drop women when they can.

It will be interesting to see what the women do to stay in the game.

But I think the previews showed some of that.;)

I wonder if a non-fuzzified version of this series will be released on DVD? Even with the fuzziness, tonight's episode revealed a lot more than the original Survivor did with Richard's butt crack!

Good episode. Peter Barnett pulled a fast one with the bootee. Just when you think you've figured out his style of revelation through editing and airtime, he confounds all of the spoiler boards! Won't say more. Don't want to give away anything for you in Australia.

He's one of my favourites too! He seemed to come across as a bit of a buffoon in the first episodes, but he knows how to play the game tactically. In fact, his sense of humour has grown on me as well. In tonight's episode he made jokes about himself and his lovelife, or lack thereof. That takes guts with the alpha males remaining in the series. And don't worry about his lack of allies... you'll see what I mean in a short while.

I also like Deena much more than earlier and even Christie is playing with a tactical knowledge of past series. I have to admit that her "disability" hasn't really affected her ability to play the game, especially since she left the all female group.

I find the characters much more interesting this series than in the past two. I'll shut up for now so I don't inadvertently give anything away.

After watching last nights game - "Kill all the Lawyers".

I'm just wondering how these back stabbers can live with themselves.

Given that they have no thought to letting Christy get near the finals - I'm suprized she is going along with the other Girls and Traider Rob.

Maybe they will wake up and dump some of the lazy asses out.

Must admit this one is the most interesting - the merge has come and here could still be twists - there are three alliances and two ff them (run by Rob and Deena) have allied to remove Rogers 'dominant male' alliance.

When these are gone then there will be deenas girls (4) and Robs guys (3) - will rob persist with this or will they split on male - female lines and rob take one of roger's group ?

I think Deena's judgement is clouded by the 'we are women' thing and this may be her undoing

Its an interesting series. In theory Dave and Butch should be the next two to go, but I wonder.

Will Alex and Matt, and Christine too, clue up to the fact they are just being strung along for the ride?

I can't work out what was going through the minds of the Roger 3 in targettting Christine. I suspect they really erred in not voting off Heidi originally and trying to team up with Christine and the other older one (brain failure!!!).

I wont be happy if any of Rob, Deena or Jenna win but I may just have to wear it.

If I was Deena I'd try to be left one out with Rob at the end. Rob will have burned so many bridges he be stuffed.

If this theory is right they would say goodbye to Christine, Butch and Matthew in the next three rounds - in no particular order.

Then its goodbye Alex and Heidi.

Down to Jenna, Rob and Deena - at that point (depends on immunity obviously) Deena may elect to shaft Jenna on the basis that Rob will have more enemies.

Will be interesting to see if Butch, Christine, Heidi and Alex can see what might happen. I exclude Matt b/c I don't think he can.

Judging by previous survivors the final 2 get plenty of coverage of their 'opinions' in the previous weeks (the editing is done after they know who the final 2 are) Gives the game away a bit I think but looks like Rob and Deena would be the final two
