Lucas to share ruck with Ryder (http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/rfnews/lucas-to-share-ruck-duties/2009/06/06/1244234424316.html)
Here is an article by the same guy who wrote the "Essendon considers dumping Bendigo" piece. Ant555 said that some of the quotes for that story were taken out of context and that this guy had burnt his bridges at Essendon.
Looking at this article there is no new information or new quotes and all he is going on is the fact that Lucas had a run in the ruck in the VFL as the ball wasn't getting down to the forward line. Given that Knights recently said if Scotty was to come in he would have to get a fair go in his prefered position (as a forward) and this article has no new quotes, it's sees to me this is just a guess. I'm not saying that Lucas will 100% NOT play in the ruck at any stage, but this guy doesn't offer any evidence as to why this story (not that is much of an article anyway, just rehashed old information) is actual reporting and not simply a guess (educated or not).
If it is just a guess it will be the second time that Mr. Brent Diamond has misrepresented something about the Essendon Football Club in as many weeks. I know journalistic standards aren't that high these days and that this article will be forgotten in a day if the headline is a guess, but even knowing that in all my cynicism, it still annoys me.
