With Jack Lemmon in it where he plays this loser type salesman. Always wanting to get his hands on THE leads, and eventually knocks them off. Has one of the Baldwin brothers in it also, who is the gun managing salesman.
A good movie.
The "GIL" character in The Simpsons is based on him.

The movie you are thinking of is Glengarry Glen Ross.
About the machinations of a real estate agency.
Opened up much debate about swearing.
This was produced in 1992 by David Mamet and featured Alec Baldwin.
Also features Kevin Spacey, Al Pacino and Ed Harris.

Cheers Dogwatcher....woof, woof!!
See if I can buy it somewhere.
BTW, I was never going to remember a title like that!
Tried to sit through it years ago but it bored me to death.

Have another look JOD23. Any movie with a quote like this must be the goods:D
"That watch costs more than you car. I made $970,000 last year. How much you make? You see pal, that's who I am, and you're nothing. Nice guy, I don't give a ****. Good father, **** you! Go home and play with your kids! You wanna work here, close! You think this is abuse? You think this is abuse, you **********? You can't take this, how can you take the abuse you get on a sit? "

Damn it, I contributed to this thread earlier and was just thinking about adding the Late Show skit.
Very funny. Didn't 'Robert DE Niro' make an appearance in one of those skits?

A good movie.
The "GIL" character in The Simpsons is based on him. I always thought GIL was based on Willy Loman.

This exchange actually starts like this:
Ed Harris: Who are you?
Alec Baldwin: **** you, that's who I am.
This is the first thing he says in the movie. Oddly, this exchange is not in the play upon which it's based. It was added into the film to make the narrative easier to follow (the sales competition is simply 'on' in the play).
It was a top sketch on The Late Show "Glengarry Glen Ridge"
The psychos one featured Mick Molloy as Frank from Blue Velvet and Tony as Travis Bickle for Taxi Driver.
Travis: Are you talkin' to me?
Frank: Don't you look at me!
Travis : Are you talkin' to me?
Frank: Don't you look at me!
And so on for 3 minutes.
Gold.
