OH MY GOD.
Never thought id see the day when such a ****er receiver of a player would be chosen as captain after Paul Kelly.....what an insult.
I know there arent exactly heaps of potential captains up in Sydney but In alot of peoples opinions, Adam Goodes was the man for the job (or Mick O`Loughlin)
Bad BADDDD Choice people~!~!~
Agree????

Stuart Maxfield is past his prime, and even then he was a receiver and soft.
Also missed alot of football last year and really, should be going for youth in sydneys case.

what's the point of throwing in someone who's REALLY not worthy/ready for the job when there is someone who has done the hard yards around the place for a long time, has the respect and trust of his team-mates and coaching panel (bear in mind he was a defensive coach whilst injured last year), and has proved he has the consistency, guts, determination and footballing nous to do the job and do it well? As good as the young guys are, there is no-one ready for this yet out of the "generation next" - give them the two years maxfield has and we will tell you a different story. For now, it's a good choice.

Maxfield may or may not be the man. I dont know. But Goodes?? He has got to get his own game in order before he can become a leader.

I think it is terrible to have a go at Captain Stueee. A legend and one who goes into each match thoroughly prepared to take chances.

I had my Bucks night last night and we all toasted our Captain Heroic and reminisced about his experiences on and off the field.

I noticed all the RWOL dribblers back on the board, nice to see you all have the same one track minds. Your treatment of my mate was disgusting. (Except you Lizz)

So Do I - JBG and so does Stuee. Took a lot of time and effort but he made it and now he has to face it.

Roos should have picked a player whose balls havent dropped yet.

Kelly came into the job with very little experience and became a better player for it.

Should have gone for someone like Amon Buchanan. Not only is he brave, but he is also one to attract Sydney's female population!

Stuart Maxfield is a soft****....what is this tough bullcrap ? he isnt tough and he is up there with Wayne Campbell and Aaron Hamill as the AFL`s worst captain.
Talk about going backwards ...... Not a very bright future up there is Sydney .......not at all.
