And these two teams lost their first games, you really need things to go your way to get back from losing two so the loser can plan to be home next weekend. Vettori a chance to be fit for the last game before the English weather hits, but he's doubtful, as is Ross Taylor. Probably Broom is first out if either one is fit.

Razzaq tipped to make his return, whether that's to support or replace the out of sorts Sohail Tanvir. The pressure remains on Salman Butt who can't field and added a duck to his tally in the game against Sri Lanka. On paper it's New Zealand's game to lose.

Brendon McCullum

It seems nine decided to put a movie on at the last minute instead of showing the game... Poor form imo.

Kallis has been in a very good paddock, but their uniforms do him and Graeme Smith no favours! Morkel pie machine is on!

It was a brilliant performance from the SA side. They got Gayle early on and even though Simmons played quite magnificently there was no one to support him. Parnell bowled brilliantly throughout and he finished it off well in the end when WI were threatening to snatch an unlikely win.

South Africa 183/7 (20/20 ov)
HH Gibbs 55 (35)
JH Kallis 45 (31)
JE Taylor 3-30

West Indies 163/9 (20/20 ov)
LMP Simmons 77 (50)
WD Parnell 4-13
RE van der Merwe 2-17

Wayne Parnell is the Man of the Match for his incredible figures of 4/13.

***********

It was a clinical performance by the Pakistanis. They bowled exceedingly well and literally bowled the Kiwis out of the contest in the first half itself. An impressive performance at the top by young Shahzaib Hasan ensured that the Pakistani dug out doesn't get into any sort of scare. A brisk 29 from Afridi sealed the game in the end. The Super Eights stage is pretty open now and every passing game will add to the excitement.

New Zealand 99 (18.3/20 ov)
SB Styris 22 (29)
AJ Redmond 15 (14)
U Gul 5-6

Pakistan 100/4 (13.1/20 ov)
MS Hasan 35 (28)
SMS Afridi 29 (18)
DL Vettori 2-20

Umar Gul is the Man of the Match for his stupendous bowling figures of 5/6.
