Good idea.
Poorly executed.

After all the hype and it being nominated for Best Film, I was lookin forward to this film.

Nicole Kidman was good, as was Meryl Streep and a great small supporting role from Ed Harris. But, they couldn't save the film.

They tried to dwell on the art of the living. Learning from mistakes etc but it was very jumpy, all over the place, lacked good transisions. Poorly executed.

Very sombre film.
Not one ounce of happiness in the film. I don't mind that usually (some of my favourite films are like that), BUT ONLY IF IT IS SERVING A PURPOSE.

I wanted to know more about Virgina Wolf. They didn't dwell enough into it. They seemed fixated on making the movie bigger. Anyone seen 'Adaptation'? To quote Charlie Kaufman, "Why can't there be a film just about flowers?" Well, why couldn't there be a film just about Virginia Wolf? They made unnecessary complications to try and make it more interesting. What was wrong with making the story just on Virignia? Why did they have to expand it?

Disapointing.

Anyone else seen it? I'd be interested in your opinion of it.
