Is there a way we can request McKay to stay the **** away from the sitting?
Cheating scum will do his best to suspend him.
Probably will get a week, but who knows. If we get offered one week then i'd take it rather than risk 2 and miss the clash with collingwood as well.

I think McVeigh did that all by himself. I was there, and I could not believe they just didn't quit the pushing and shoving and get on with the footy thrashing we were handing the Demons. :(

For sure - coach killer....

What disappointed me most is the fact that we now have Prisnall, Welsh, Winderlich and plastic man Fletcher coming back with McVeigh, Scotty finding form, and we finally have a really good bunch of road runners for Knights, and he goes and books himself a holiday. :(
From Bomberblitz:
accept
we can let him go for one game rather than risk losing for two

yeah they accepted. probably what i expected really.
at least he will be back for the pies clash, could have been a lot worse knowing the tribunal.
Out: Mcviegh
In: Slattery/NLM depending on matchups

Was never going to get off no matter how soft the contact was, he is a knob for doing it.
He has let down the whole football club. Really pathetic by Mcveigh.

i thought he was almost going to break down in tears watching him on the sunday footy show.

Well..
Look at the bright side.
There are many players that we can see returning to the side.

Smart move to accept it, however he should've been smarter in the first instance.
Move on and he can sit in the stands looking around to see all the people he let down, including himself.

I know who I'll be blaming if we lose by 2 goals.
Reminds me of David Hille getting rubbed out in 2006 and missed the Bulldogs game for a stupid act. Cost us that game too.

Completely agree.
Very 50/50 game so his loss could be huge.

Very dissapointed he isn't playing.
Not much in it, but he knew it was wrong after it happened.
He is very annoyed at himself, so hopefully it doesn't happen again for a long time...but sometimes (sadly) you can't help it!
H.Slatts, Bellchambers, Hurley, Houli and Lovett-Murray might be up for selection.
6 day break to Essendon
13 day break to Carlton

Well atleast he apologised to us for it!:p

I'd like a club imposed suspension on top of the 1 week from the AFL Tribunal but that also penalises the club and the supporters. Very disappointed. :thumbsd:

History suggests that Carlton do not respond well the week after the break - i'd look at that as an advantage to you guys.

I agree that I the shorter break - which is still a full week - will NOT be an issue. We had the week before off, so we could quite conceivably be in a better rhythm than the Blues. It's only the 2nd game after the break so certainly shouldn't be a negative factor for our guys. :thumbsu:

Wow. I hadn't noticed that. Looks like Carlton have not won first game out of the break since 2001!

i think his copping a fair whack YES it was stupid but did you see the reaction at 3qtr time you could tell that he was extremely dissapointed in himself and i think that shows maturity on his behalf...

It is not as if he was tearing it up guys, having one less player with no legs is better anyway. We already have Reimers and Prismall in the side!

I think he was coming good though and was primed and ready to fire this week -- However, it looks like he'll be even more fired up for the Pies so it isn't so bad.
It could of been worst, I'm happy that he only got a week. We should still beat Carlton.

0.0 - that is the amount of clue you have.
He was just getting his base right up to the required standard. The Carlton game would have been right for him to go.
He could have played defence on Betts if he was tearing things up.
McVeigh right now is a better option than 90% of our list.
He's a professional athlete who's had a month of running and football.
FFS... please give us a break from this dribble.
