People often talk about famous hilarious scenes from well known movies, such as the Mr Creosote scene from Monty Python's Meaning of Life, the Zipper scene from There's Something About Mary, and Borat's visit to a rodeo in the Borat movie.
But which scenes from movies that are dated, forgotten, aimed at kids or which flopped do you find hilarious? Here are some of mine:
SERIAL MOM: This John Waters film from 1994 features a scene in which the teenage son & daughter of the central character (played by Kathleen Turner) argue at the dinner table, both using the word sh!t. "Now kids," she reprimands them, "you know how much I hate the brown word!"
DUMB & DUMBERER: This much maligned prequel features a scene in which an anally retentive man, played by Bob Saget, discovers what he thinks is sh!t (it is actually chocolate) over his bathroom walls, and begins screaming and shouting about it hysterically.
GREEDY: A forgotten comedy classic from the early 1990s, and a stressed out middle aged man, played by the late Phil Hartman, argues with his overweight slacker teenage son at a family lunch, eventually dragging him away from the adults table and to the kids table.
KINDERGARTEN COP: Two scenes - the first in which Arnold Schwarzenegers charcter reprimands a fat kid for eating other peoples lunches, and the kid vomits over him; and the second in which Arnie is dressed like a farmer singing "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" with his class.
PROBLEM CHILD 2 - The kid is refused access to a ride due to his height, and gains revenge by messing around with the controls so it makes everybody on it violently sick, with most of the vomit landing on the school bully.
BABY'S DAY OUT - The leader of the three inept kidnappers has his groin area catch on fire; one of his accomplices, who is wearing huge boots, throws him on the ground and jumps up and down on his groin to put out the fire.
DENNIS THE MENACE - The babysitter's stupid boyfriend tries to read a children's book to Dennis, stumbling and stuttering his way through a story aimed at very young children who are learning to read.
LITTLE NICKY - A much disliked Adam Sandler movie in which Jon Lovitz's character is punished for his voyeurism by being sent to Hell and chased for eternity by a big horny black bird.
DROP DEAD GORGEOUS - A clever black comedy from 1999 which launched the careers of Amy Adams and Brittany Murphy, but which seemed to be unappreciated in Australia, sees an Asian man shouting at his daughter, calling her a "stupid little retard" because she addresses him in Japanese rather than English.
THE PACIFIER - Brad Garrett plays an overly zealous sports teacher, who is dressed in an overly thight wrestling costume.
