Welsh was best on ground.
Lovett did a helluva lot of damage but so did Pears, Monfries had some great goals, Ryder rucked well.
Very difficult to quantify Davey: his chasing and tackling put a helluva lot of pressure on their players and made then cough the ball up.
We had so many good players, guys who played their hearts out, that it is unfair to leave anyone out.
So, I'll just vote the whole team in. :o

Shit i feel bad ... a mate asked me my thoughts on our players and all i remember of welshy were a few turnovers. must've been looking the wrong way a lot of the time. not easy from the very top of the 3rd tier mind you. :(

Pears and Hooker were brilliant

Very difficult because a lot of the time he is working in the middle of a pack. He did make Judd look fairly pedestrian.

I rang my better half at half time (no pun intended) and she recorded the rest of the game on the Video for me. I'll be able to watch it again tomorrow, OK today!!

Daaaammmnn this is going to be hard. Might re-evaluate after watching this on TV, but after such a solid even team effort this is the best I could scratch together.

3. Woosha. Absolutely amazing! 2 weeks back and already getting BOG. Very excited to see how the rest of his season goes.
2. Pears. After the scare in the first quarter got up and did a perfect job on Fev. Loved the two runs he had down the wing to set up two very important goals. All the haters must be feeling very stupid now, as this kid has a very bright future.
1. Lovett. Such fantastic drive, set up a heap of damaging plays and did some very freaky shit in the last quarter.

Honourable: Entire EFC! Amazing!!!!

Tempted to give it the ol' U/14's Team Effort call!

1. Welsh
2. Monfries (5 goals from a small forward is outstanding)
3. Davey (Set the tone for tackling and pressure - made the Blues very nervous in their back half)

Props to Pears (come on NAB), Fletcher, Prismall, Lonergan, Ryder, Watson (best by how far when he got injured), Stanton for fighting back and Lovett for the cream on the cake.

3. welsh - smashed judd.
2. pears - was challenged early and responded by thrashing fevola.
1. davey - put a stack of pressure on when the game was there to be won.

thought guys like lovett played well but got a lot of the pill when it was all over. the above 3 got the job done when it counted. was very pleased with lucas - his intensity at the ball was high and he chased and added pressure. hopefully neagle was watching...
