Is it just me or is the world cup boring ?
Firstly, the time zone makes it bad. We cant see any games at a reasonable hour.
Secondly, Every 2nd match seems to have a minnow up against an established cricketing country which means it is so predictable.
Thirdly, Australia is at its dominating best. After Warne stood down and just prior to the paki game I thought here we go, this tournament will be a ripper but it was not to be.

Wait till the super sixes. Then you will see some quality matches.

"Channel Nine will show Super Six games subjected to Australia's involvement."

I'm guessing this means they will only show the Australian games?

They'll probably show a couple of other games aswell (have the rights to 16 games all up I believe?)... It might sound selfish but the less games they show, the better. Fox's coverage is a lot better, especially for us in WA.

I have really enjoyed watching the World Cup so far and it will only get better once the Super Six phase starts and then the knockout Semi Finals and Final.

As for Australia looking good, that's a good thing.:) But once the super 6s come round; one bad result can undo all the good work that's been done until then. Even more so in the semis and the final. Australia haven't won it yet.

Get rid of Canada.Bangladesh, namibia and Holland and you might see some decent games. Those 4 nations should not even be in this tournament

all world cups have nations running around that are fodder for the real competitors

I agree but they are not as bad as those 4 cricket nations.
Canada making just 37 the other day just proves that the world cup is a farce if they keep letting countries play that produce those sorts of performances.

Fantastic piont, lets ask South Africa if they can start all the matches at 5 or 6am their time so they conveniance us. I'm so sick of waiting up real late because of those South Africans wanting to watch games at resonable times there. I mean, couldn't they have thought about us in making their decisions?:p :p

just like pakistan crumbling for 73 in the 92 world cup, only to win the cup in the end. lucky for them they weren't thrown out after that poor performance.

Dont be stupid. Im not asking for it to be changed to suit us. But it is frustrating not to be able to see games.

How can u compare pakistan to canada. The difference is that on their day pakistan can beat anyone when they are switched on whereas Canada, bangladesh and Holland are consistantly bad and dont look like winning a game unless they play each other

At a guess I would say Ch9 will show ALL Super6 games not involving Australia, but only after 11pm. Whether Fox show the early session Im not sure. The SF and Final will as I understand be shown by Ch9 live in full

Would they be that generous and show all the Super 6 games? Channel Nine have rights to 12 of the Pool Group games plus the 2 semi-finals and the final.

There are 9 Super Six matches and I reckon we'll only get to see the 3 Australian games plus 1 or 2 others.

HA!!! you obviously didnt catch the rugby league world cup.

and BTW, did you not see jon davison's innings v the windies. it is not a farce, i personally like seeing some of the minnows go around. the upcoming kenya v bangladesh game promises to be a lot more watchable that some of the more established teams playing.

a lot of non-test teams have been going a lot better than people expected. and a team like kenya has already managed to knock off a previous holder of the cup
