i like the look of the side, the only change i'd consider would be playing Henneman instead of Lay**** - incase Scotty struggles to hold his opponent at CHB...

So need a better option at fullback that DJ. As much as I like his work, it would be a big ask for him. Don't know who could fill the void though, especially if Hunt is unavailable.

Not having Fletch sucks big time. Obviously whoever sits back there is going to get Lynch, which is a chore. I guess Jacobs is probably the only other guy who can do it.

I don't have much confidence in Welsh after seeing him get slaughtered by Leigh Harding and then hearing that Milne pretty much did the same thing last week. I'd like to see what McPhee can do in the backline; he appears to be very physical.

We need some talls up front, and we need speed. The Kangaroos killed us at ground level. It boggles the mind wondering what the Lions could do.

This might be a real good time to see what Joel and Jobe are made of. Shame that Hunt is hurt, he might have been a good option at either end of the ground.

B: McPhee Jacobs Solomon
HB: Rioli Lucas Wellman
C: MJohnson Misiti Ramanauskas
HF: Lay**** Hird Mercuri
F: Cupido Lloyd Barnard
Foll: Hille JJohnson Peverill
Int: Henneman Watson Reynolds Welsh

Em: Alessio McVeigh McGrath
Sus: Fletcher Bolton
Inj: Hunt

Too early to be putting MJ in the midfield. With Welsh being cut up by quality small forwards recently, we need MJ to cover the likes of Power, McCrae. He also doesn't have much experience in the midfield, and that is a gamble when up against Voss, Akermanis, Lappin, Black. If Lay**** does the majority of our ruckwork we will lose by 10+ goals. Better to put him up forward to stretch Brisbane's relatively short backline.

Would think Solomon would be a better option on Lynch rather than Jacobs.

I thought about putting Jacobs up forward actually. Then I would probably put Barnard on the bench and stick Jacobs in a forward pocket. Gives us another tall.

In that case, I'd have a backline of MJ, Solly, and McPhee.

I know Laykock's young and inexperienced but he seems to be getting a lot more of the ball right now than some of the more established players. Wouldn't put him in the ruck though, he'd get a bath.

Jacobs usually plays well on taller players but Lynch is too strong which is also the problem fletcher has had with him in recent contests. Lucas, Henneman, Bolton and Wellman are all about the same height as Lynch. Maybe Hille should be given a go, he's tall, athletic, strong mark and hasn't cemented his spot in the ruck yet.

Using Adrians line up cause I couldn't be stuffed thinking about changing players

FB: WelshBarnard Solomon
HB: McPhee Lucas Wellman
C: M.Johnson Misiti Ramanauskas
HF: Hird Jacobs Watson
FF: Cupido Lloyd Rioli

R: Hille J.Johnson Peverill

Int: Reynolds Mercuri Alessio McVeigh

Maybe MJ on a wing isn't the greatest but Barnard at full back would free him up slightly, Barney can certainly handle the tough stuff down back.

Prefer Lucas at CHB based soley on this performances late 2002, think he can reinvent him self there as the has the strength, speed and marking to be a "great" CHB. DJ then shifts to CHF where he is a good option.

McVeigh hasn't impressed me lately, particularly at Manuka. But since I'm not replacing him, he can only make the bench.
