Back or forward?

The more i see him across half-back, the more i like it.

Centre half back with the occasional pinch-hitting role up forward perhaps?

Ideally i'd like to see him alternate between forward and back. Has a bit to learn about defensive play, but it does allow him to run in straight lines and doesn't put any unnecessary forward pressure (i.e goalkicking) on him. He should just be able to back himself out of defence. He will offer some drive and will undoubtedly sneak forward a dob a few.

Both.
He will be chopped up though, has to learn how to stop his opponent. Sean Wellman does it beautifully, sets heaps up for us and can blanket an opposistion player out of buisness.
Would hate to think that Scotty was lost to the forward line as a Lucas goal is a thing of beauty.
