TV Ads that piss you off [2] [Archive]

Continued from here (http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=359519)

Basically it's a line up of men and women(Nice looking women) dressed in german clothes advertising some new Subway Schnitzel sub, they dance about in german dance like fashion(I don't know the name of the dance!), but it would seem the women were all but G-Strings under those dresses, and thanks to the camera-man you get to see plenty of said G-Strings. As I said, makes me want to eat something, but not a sub.;)

Will keep an eye out for it and have a flog lol.

Nail her, Jesus Christ style? Or am I on the wrong path?:confused:

Either path will do. Maybe even both.

Hahaha these ones are gold.

In the new one, just watch how often he pets the two dogs. He's patting away like nobody's business for the entire duration.

He must REALLY like those dogs.

Another interesting trend in these ones is how the guys are relegated to the back in the staff shots, leaving McDonald's-arches and the ladies up the front.

I've got a major issue at the moment with ads on Foxtel.
I understand for up-coming shows, but for products is just wrong.
I already pay for my TV, there for I shouldn't have to sit through ads telling me to buy a car, house, a happy meal or a tampon.

Also I really don't get ads telling me to buy foxtel on foxtel channels, I've already got the f*&%ing thing!

it was. oh the joys of being able to sit through a Simpsons ep uninterrupted, followed by 7 mins of filler. (that's what the dvds are for)

just love taping everything i watch though....so i dont have to sit through these abominations to society haha (Y)

She's not quite the thespian, I grant you that, but she seems do-able, so that's not half bad :) but the RACV "You complete me" wife on the other hand... I leave the room every time that ad comes on, I kid you not. She's my "beady eyes" woman :mad:

There's also a bunch of other ads where the music pisses me off.....that mint ad where the sky darkens and the girl and guy kiss.....and that ad promoting mobile downloads where there's a picture of a network of escalators and text runs across the screen.

The other one that gets my ire at the moment is the RACV call centre jerks telling me how much they've saved people. Here's a thought; stop screwing around in the office and answer some calls so I'm not on hold for so long. The dude has gigantic eyebrows too. Freaks.

Much like that Heineken Keg ad. Any beer ad that uses a futuristic and hence sterile theme is instant fail. That impression is the opposite of what a good beer should be.

Ads like the Boags river, Pure Blonde and Strongbow (although cider) nail it.

so ****ing annoying and stupid. Quite frankly i'm going to create a list of the shit ads and go out of my way to avoid buying them AND tell people they are shit just to make sure I have some impact. So far on my list

The one where the "hip" guy decides to crash a day party, can walk right up to the DJ and just touch his gear, then swirl a girl around, walk around like he owns the place, and then walk out and have everyone gaga over him, instead of actually what would happen, which is he just gets beaten to the ground for being such a knob.

Unless you are in some cult, the snuggie ad is just laughable. Who would wear that out? And it's just pointless.

Ah crap, beat me to it. It looks very Cult like, and the constant creepy smiles adds to that. The one with the girl cheering at some sporting game is hilarious, as is the couple sitting on the ground playing a boardgame.

However, the free book light is a massive incentive (!), and on that, why is the bitch at the end using the book light to read when the lights were already on?

I would find this ad very annoying if it didn't make me laugh..

Pfft. You lot have no idea about style.
Snuggies are a great fashion statement and keep you warm to boot.
You should see the amount of attention from the opposite sex I get purely because I wear Snuggies.
Mind you, that could be just my smashing good looks, but they do mention the Snuggies itself as being "erotic" or "arousing" to them, and the most common sentence I get is, "room for two under there?" or "i'd like to get under there too".
I.e., perceived as like a big blanket/doona that elicits just the right mental image from girls (get under it and snuggle).

Bookmark it....prove me wrong....buy one and get around in it for a few days, but confidently (!!) and you tell me if you don't notice the same thing.

That really, really gets to me as well. Also, "the big screen" refers to cinema. TV is the small screen. Grrr.

My kids like the show and I watch it with them. It's alright. But the ads are just pure shite.
