Vics have got them by the balls at 5 for 98.Hopefully this time they go through with it.
Perren is not out on 40 odd and the wickets are pretty much spread for the vics.
With Love out, the vics are on top. They shouldnt throw it away from here.

Go the Vics. This game is the chance to win at the Gabba for the first time in 19 years.

One thing the live scores at baggy green didnt tell me was the pitch was a mine field.Sounds like its going to be a long week for the vics.

Vic 4-36, Kaspa 3 wickets, Dale 1
Vics struggling in QLD. Surprise, surprise.
4/44. Kasprowicz with 3. :o
A green top, yet QLD make 349 (How the f... could they let Noffke make 67, Dale 26 and Kasprowicz 16?) and VIC will be hard pressed to make 150. Hodge, Elliott all failed again. Send both of them to SA.
It's taken a recruit (David Hussey) to make some runs.
How good are those Bulls. Half the team at the WC and still unbeatable.
Forget "Fluid pills" get some good QLD potatoes into you.

Victoria are putting in an embarassing performance. Any chance we'll make Queensland bat again?

Victoria 6/94 at lunch.
Go you bullies
Well the Vics can thank the Victorian media for a part of this upcoming defeat. That bagging they gave the QLD team in the paper a few days back has been pined up in QLD dressing room and used as inspiration :D

Spoke too soon!
Qld canter home by 9 wickets, and the only reason they had to bat a second time was because of some lusty hitting by Moss and Berry towards the end of the Vics innings.
Actually, it may be better if Victoria don't make the final against Qld, I simply can't see them winning at the Gabba. Their batsmen especially have put up some deplorable performances there over the years.

I can't see anyone beating Queensland at the GABBA. They prepare the wicket to suit their bowling attack and it's no surprise to see them once again hosting the Pura Cup Final.
As for Victoria, we have done really well to be in this position. Our batting line up is ordinary at best with Elliott and Hodge the best of the lot and our bowling attack has performed above expectations in my opinion with Harwood being the big surprise.
However, if we beat Western Australia next week at the MCG, we are into the Pura Cup Final and that would be a great achievement for David Hookes and the players.
dont count your chickens before they hatch.........
WA beat NSw last year at the MCG in the last game, after losiung on the first innings.
This should be a ripper.

The current NSW lineup are a much bigger chance of beating Qld then the Vics. Their batting lineup is top-class and would be the ones to stand up to the dominant Qld pace bowling attack.
And led by Steve Waugh, they wouldn't have the doubts that seem to plague the Victorians whenever they travel to the Gabba.
