Nah on serious note Siera needs a full knee reconstruction and is out for the season.
Pity I never got a really good look at him, and isnt it his second?

I heard http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/frown.gif
Two recons before round three??? By this rate we'll have lost 14 by the end of the season... Doesn't seem fair.
This is shockin luck for Siera, it is his second.... but when we recruited him there were words of warning about his dicky knees.
Damn. http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/mad.gif

I guess we can thank King for Siera's injury. If he wasn't so reckless in his 'reportable' contest this would have eventuated. Still, we have a whole season ahead of us and a game to win on Sunday!
How about a name change Sabre........maybe 'The Grim Reaper'

What bad luck for Sierakowski.
But from a club point of view, i think this may be a blessing in disguise.
Lets face it, Sierakowski is nothing more than an average player. To get to the finals, a team needs more than an average CHF. All good sides have good CHF's.
This, is going to force us to find a new CHF - one who is probabl going to be a better option than Sierakowski at CHF.
It may come in the shape of MacDougall, Gardiner, Cox, maybe even Troy Wilson, who knows.
But i don't think Sierakowski is the type of CHF, who is going to guide us to a finals.
I think we have a few options with Sierakowski from a positional point of view. I would be inclined to throw him down at fullback at some stage next year, i don't think he would do too badly down there. Maybe CHB as well.
He's just not good enough to take a side to the finals from CHF.
But don't get me wrong here, i'm extremely disspointed for the guy, but from the position the eagles are in at the moment, i think we need to try and put a positive spin on everything and not dwell on the negatives.

I think that's a bit tough, mate.
The Eagles players were giving huge raps to Sierra all theough the pre-season. Playing in his own state may well have brought the best out of Sierra and he may have been a tremendous force for us this season.

I don't think it's that tough.
Most people would agree that Sierakwoski is nothing more than average player with a big heart.
A club that has serious final's asparations needs someone at CHF who's better than average.
Of course his own players are going to be giving him raps. They're not going to come out and say "He's got a good heart, but he is a bit of a battler."

WCE2000 - sometimes someone with skills can be outplayed by someone with a big heart. Gehrig is a good example, he has awesome skills and can break a game apart but he rarely does because his heart never seems to be in it.

That is a valid point Jod, but you've got to remember, Gehrig had the smallest heart of anyone in the competition.
Most of the players in our side have got enough ticker. It's just Sierakowski has a big one.
Fair point WCE2000, i just hope Seira can make a speedy recovery and in the meantime we can hopefully discover a CHF who can do the job. Then when Seira returns he can play on a half forward flank.
