Yes McVeigh appears to be unlikely to play next Saturday in Sydney. Jarrad that is. Appeared to do a hamstring late in the 4th against North Melbourne yesterday. Looking at Sydney's side, especially with Hall out, there are few genuine threats of star players, and after Goodes, i think McVeigh is certainly one of them, happy to have him out if true.

He'll line up for Sydney this Saturday, mark my words.

Dont forget this is Essendon we are talking about, we very rarely get these kind of breaks.

Mark's "general soreness" is just another hangover. :p

Given our recent record against Sydney, the lack of respect many Essendon supporters seem to have for them is, well, somewhat of a concern I think.

Let's hope the team doesn't think that there's noone to threaten their chances.

That wasn't very funny. I almost spewed.

Injuries are never good news, though you can't argue with the luck.

O'Loughlan seems intent on making his last year special. I would add Crouch, Jolly, Jack, Kirk, Goodes... Sydney are still a side to be wary of.

We're going to need to keep someone on Shaw too, or else he'll be setting them up off half back 30 times.

Mark McVeigh is also in some doubt due to "knee soreness". Whether this is official or not, is unsure at the moment.

We're going to need him.

It would help a lot if J.McVeigh doesn't play. This will be another one of the 'eight point games'.
