View Full Version : Donnelly injury
He has never been put on the injury list but played for Subiaco, clearly underdone yesterday. I also heard Taylor last week saying Donnelly would be recovered by this weekend. Anyone know what his injury was?
I wish we could get the truth about the injuries but I guess the fear is that the opposition will target the injury if they know. Prime example was Gardy's comeback against Freo, he was out for over a month with a shoulder and had it hit before the bounce!!!!!!!

I think he had substantial knee surgery over the off season... just started playing WAFL again...
I'll think we'll need him, but not till he's 100% ready. http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/wink.gif
i saw a bit of the Subi game yesterday and to me he didnt look too flash.
i think another game or two under his belt will be better in the long run
The sooner the better cos i like Donnelly but to be honest how is he going to get into the side. Especially seen as he is primarily a forward and our forward line looks pretty good even with Cummings out so he'll have to play pretty well.

I thought he plugged a few holes in defence last season. The 'beauty' of Donners being that he can play forward or back...
Dont know about that Eagle_Fan. I wouldnt feel overly confident with him in defence.

Last season he dropped back to be a mobile CHB, and with his strong marking ability was able to rebound quite well. Obviously he's not our ideal defender, but it comes down to having a team half full of debutants, I'd prefer to have Donners in there as well....
