is an awesome bassplayer, and has just joined Metallica!

Not sure how I feel about this one....
Metallica are a sad shadow of what they once were, but well done to Trujillo on getting such a big gig.

Just think, he used to play 'Possessed to Skate' at top speed INCLUDING wacky slapping/popping just for extra effect.

Funnily enough, leaving his last gig with Ozzy Osbourne, has resulted in them asking Jason Newsted to jam with them.

Musical chairs or what?

It's a weird one! Rob is a great player. I saw (and met - woohoo!) him when he came out with ST in 95. Metallica are **** now though!

Looks like they swapped places in novelty marketing bands.

I mean in Newstead's case, why leave Metallica because they were going too commercial and lost focus on the music, and then join Ozzy who hasn't put out a good album since 1990 and is just a marketing tool for his TV show.

He also bassed on Jerry Cantrells last album. Great player I agree.
