Hey guys, sorry to intrude, but I was talking with a mate about Lindsay Thomas and Matt Campbell; how well the Roos have done out of the two.

However, I honestly couldn't tell you which one is which; more importantly, who's better? I had a look at their stats on wikipedia, which are identical.

Just to clarify, this is a genuine query.
Cheers in advance.

Campbell is a lot more consistent and does a lot more little things like the 1 percenters.

Thomas has a heap of potential, probably more than Campbell, and has the X Factor, but is lazy in his application.

I can't split them. On this seasons form I'd have to say Campbell, and Campbell is a lot more deserving of a game than Thomas, but on overall potential I'd say Thomas.

Campbell has the blistering speed, whereas Thomas can kick a freak goal (although misses sitters) and is a better mark.

I can't split it.

Also forgot to add, Thomas gets more of the ball, whereas Campbell is more dangerous closer to the goals.

they will both be very good

they are completely different so i really dont understand the people who say they cant tell the difference

campbell is easily the fastest player in the AFL and has great defensive pressure
he is very hard working and pretty consistent

thomas is bigger and slower but can take a better mark
hes a bit lazy but can do the freakish things

IMO campbell is better now but thomas has much more room for improvement

Is Shannon Watt even that fast?

Not really. He isn't slow, but isn't fast.

2 totally differnt players. thomas probs has more room for improvement but when ever campbell gets the ball u cant help but get that excitement he mite produce something special when he gets it. he doesnt get a lot of it but wen he does he can be very damaging, not that he really needs it a lot his more in the team for his pressure in the forawrd 50 and to kick a couple of goals here and there. id say campbell but thats me, if someone said thomas i could see y.

I have to agree with this. Thomas has a lot of potential being wasted but i would prefer Campbell over him as he is more of a game breaker

i believe we'll see a different L.Thomas in 2010 . Remember the huge grab he took in a pre-season game? Or the live-wire who kicked 5 behinds on debut? I recall laidley saying Thomas would get a game as long as he did the 1%'s- well 1%'s aren't Lindsay's trade , if he's allowed to play as a front -running small forward he'll be a nightmare IMO . will be intersting ito see what Scott has in mind for him.
