Norwood Oval 28/3
Norwood 11.6 72 def. North 10.11 71
1/4 time Norwood 2.2 - North 1.3
1/2 time Norwood 5.4 - North 3.5
3/4 time North 9.6 - Norwood 8.5
Norwood won by 1 point after North were down by 4 points late in the last quarter. 2 behinds and 1 after the siren from Hargreaves gave Norwood the win.
Consistent effort by the Redlegs, while North shone through with great running play in the 3rd. Great game all round by both sides.

Was a pretty good game considering the rain and that it was Norths first hitout on foreign soil and only Norwood's second run.
I had to look twice to make sure I was at the right oval, Ive never seen Norwood Oval look so green.
Davis from St Kilda looks to be the real deal, he should at least step into Knowles' spot if not be better.
Rhino only played a half but his physical presence is going to be a huge boom for North this year.
The young Power lad Gilham looked good in defence, needs to beef up a bit though.
Also good turn up by the Grog squad, certainly more North fans than Norwood fans standing out in the rain.
The rest is an alcohol induced haze.
Ouch my head.
PS Norths ressies won fairly comfortably in a low scoring affair too.
Yes, was a good game. I umpired the league, south end 1st half.
Hargraves and Wilson I think were really getting stuck into each other for a bit, was a fairly spiteful game.

Im sure you would have heard us then!
We were the North crew behind the Southern goals near the bar.

Yeah!!! I was very impressed with North's performance and it wasn't a bad game, I loved it!
Especially the bit when Daniel Hargraves had some fun with Ben Wilson :D Geezus the insults that were flying out of some players mouths last night, made for a very spiteful game!!
The only downer of the night was the rain, but I guess it wouldn't be Norwood with out. ;)
Yeah I heard you lot.
Wilson was trying to tell me to report Hargreaves for hitting him in the head twice, I shook my head and continued on. He never hassled me for the rest of the game. It's a matter of players learning not to stuff around.
2 minutes later he gave away a free kick and goal.
But yeah, was good to hear all the North supporters behind me at the South End.
Other result:
Richmond Oval
West Adelaide def. Eagles
Looks like Port had a fairly convincing win over Glenelg yesterday. 51 point win.
West beat Eagles by 15 points.
South defeated Sturt by 8 goals.

Don't mean to be picky safooty, but Daniel's surname is spelt "Hargraves" Sorry but it just bugs me a little, when his surname is spelt wrong!! ;)
Hey,
Call me Steve, but yeah sorry. He got the free kick anyway "Hargraves".
This week I've got Under 19's Norwood v Eagles on Sunday, should be interesting. 6x20 minute quarters, long day for me.
But I will be back the week after on the Friday Night (Subject to change) at Norwood yet again for Sturt v Eagles Reserves.
Good luck for the Roosters in 2003 grogette.
Steve.

Don't tell him that Grogette, its was probably only because he couldnt spell Harg's name that he didn't bother reporting him when he clocked Wilson!

Is this a good sign for the tigers?
Seems like the last few years we've won 3 or 4 trials each year building up false hope for the diehards.
Maybe this season we will not have the same delusions!!!!
(p.s. not that anyone cares but I'm VERY confident the tigers will finish fifth)
