Later this year.

I can't wait. I have the videos and DVD (which includes unseen footage, tis great). This show is probably my favouite ever, know a lot of the lines and Jane Turner is a comedy genius.

I believe it will start airing in August.

Long time between series, but i guess thats bound to happen when you have such a cast.

Later now, as Jane Turner has broken her leg, so they have to reschedule everything.

if you need something to tide you over, try "Something Stupid" - it has the odd segment of Kath and Kim

I loooooove Kath and Kim. Something Stupid is a mad show, they're getting funnier since 'Big girls Blouse'.

I agree with dopey.

Overated show. They will struggle for laughs in the second series.

It depends what you constitute as funny. You probably just have a different sense of humour, which you obviously must, if you don't find the show funny.

Doesn't mean it isn't hilarious to some.

Doesn't mean it isn't hilarious to some. I found it hilarious to begin with, but once the novelty of the east melb burbs p_sstake wore off i found myself laughing less and less. The show relies heavily on the p_sstake aspect, the actual dialogue jokes are nothing special. That's why i think this 2nd season won't be anywhere near as good as the first.

Anyone know the actual start date for series 2?

I've seen commercials promoting it, and thought it started tonight, however the guide i looked at says that tonights episode is a repeat.

I think it starts on Monday night.
Must admit when I first saw this show I thought it was stupid . But then I realised what a **** take it really was and now I think it's a very funny show.

Herald-Sun also shows it starting tonight, but as series return and with the description of the episode denoting the same storyline as that of episode 1 in the first series.

Yep, that's what i saw in the online guide that i looked at.

Oh well, guess i'll have to throw a tape in, just in case it's the new series.

Apparently it is the first series being shown again, episode 1 being shown from tonight. Series 2 (aaghh I'm so excited!) won't be on tele until September.

I'll be watching it anyway though.

Yep, it was a repeat (the first series) :p . Looks like the ABC is doing the same with Kath and Kim as they did with Grassroots, with the second series to follow directly from the first.
