View Full Version : Where did Brown play last year.
Just wondering if someone can tell me what position Leigh Brown played last year.
JYD has been playing him at CHF and I don't think that will suit our side.
I was sure that we recruited him to play at fullback but so far he hasn't been anywhere near the backline .
So where did he play and was he any good???

Browny played CHB, CHF, ruck and sometimes FB. But doesn't have the footspeed for FB.
He plays his best footy IMO on the foward line where he can make a contest.
From what I've seen Browny looks like hes having the same impact for the Roos as he had with us (not much).

Yeah, he played all over the place, didn't really have one position. Had some good games earlier on in the year but faded.
Just out of interest, what does JYD stand for? Jerome Williams (in the NBA) has that nickname and it stands for Junkyard Dog, is that the same for Laidley?

I Kinda feel sorry for the Big Fella. He has a big heart which undoubtedly his coaches love him for.... but his lack of footspeed makes just too slow for any key position , his best posi is playing as the loose man down back dropping into the leading spaces
