So which is going to be? No Lambert, Lawrence or Molloy. No "put it all on the line" player with hardness at the ball.
Any win will be by skill, nothing to do with being physical, that means, no beating Essendon. Let's hope the bulldogs still wimp out worrying about more allegations, or we can't beat them either.

Pippy we still have Vossey and Blacky in the midfeild so that is a good thing, both those players r hard at the ball!!!!

You've got to be joking!
Isn't there a saying
"have faith"
well i think u sohuld have faith in your footy team, or u r not a true supporter!

Hey a true supporter can criticise and worry about weaknesses and look for answers how to fix em. Not just have pure faith. That is never enough.
I wanna know how the team is going to turn around the losses. Voss, the legend he is, is prone to bad luck with injury, Black, good as he is - still young and will learn more over the next 3 years.
How do we replace losses like we have had? Our blokes have the skills and the run, but the ability to put the body on the line, and take those knocks and still get up again uninjured, has been diminshed greatly cause of the players now gone.

I agree, we have lost a hell of alot of good players...... but u never know who we might pick up. And move people up from the rookie list(even though half of them have been de-listed) But i think we will come good next year.

No question- we will be better in 2001. Lethal will have the boys focused on what went wrong from 1999 to 2000- my take (from a great distance- USA and now china) is there was overconfidence from some players. I'll look for guys like big Bo and Luke to step up and join the top of the line players in the aFL.
My one concern- where will the goals come from? Would love to see Brisbane get a champion like Matty Lloyd or a Wayne carey. I know we won't get those guys- but we need to draft a goal kicker and develop him.
Jim- former season ticket holder and now following from a distance.

We had the same problem in 2000 as 2006 - losing some big name players who we thought could not be replaced, and look what happened.

I like your logic. Going by that, we should retire several good players every year (doesn't matter if they're still young), and we should win the next 4 flags. :D

Interesting comment this one. We had the "no rules" game and went on to be the most physically intimidating team in the competition.

Interesting comment this one as well. Lynch and Brown were nigh unstoppable.

I wonder what will happen next.

I've never been a fan of Bradshaw either, but he rised a couple of places in my book this year.

Prior to 2001 I thought Lynch was one of the most overrated players in the comp. Brisbane's answer to Matthew Richardson and the Roccas. 2001 on though he suddenly became more consistent and used his strength effectively not only to score goals for himself but to make contests that created goals around him. I honestly think this was a big factor in Brisbane becoming a premiership team not the biggest factor perhaps (Brown's development may be that) but certainly significant.
Braddy is a bit of a different player but he is also stepping up in a very nice forward option. Up until this year I thought of him as a nice second or third option in the forward line. After this year thought I found it hard to believe that there wasn't more attention paid to him when he was available. Especially when compared with Tarrant.

When you consider Lynchy's return to form after Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, he is a true champion.
As for Braddy. EIGHT goals in round 14. Whoa! Enough said.

Did struggle a little before 2001 for one reason or another but remember he was an elite defender AND a b&f winner & AA at FF even before he came to Brisbane.

That won't be the case if Nugget makes it through pre-season and plays...he's physical...just ask Revolting  :)
