MOre than likely none would show up.

I was at a presentation dinner at the social club last december (it was the chosen venue by an orgainisation), a graduation/recognition of achievement night for a community based organisation, and the guest speaker was our own Magic McLean. The invite said 'guest speaker M McLean Assistant Coach and Players in attendance". The notice/invitation to attend was posted on the players notice board, and they were informed of it as well. It was optional.

So optional that none of them showed up (bar Magic of course).

It was a real shame, as some of the ppl who were being honoured that night, for how far forward they had moved in their lives, and the achievements of the organisation, would have loved them to be there.

I think sometimes they are so far removed from the 'star' status they would have if they were in Melbourne, they don't realise what an impact their presence can have.

Danni I totally agree with u that the playersthink that they are in Queensland so they think that they are not noticed, as much as they would be in Melbounre and if they don't show up to things like that, that they are putting themselves and the club down. For example: If a child for instance espescially when to a function which said that the players were going to be there and they weren't that child would most probably go to a few more and then realise that the players do there own thing and don't give a **** about the community in which they all live. So that in itself isn't good for the code in Queensland.
