Does anyone remember this guy? I'm not sure on the spelling of his name (the pronounciation varired from 'Sketchy' to 'Shacky').

I remember him being a bit of a talent at FF for the Bears in the early 90's. Does anyone else recall?

Yeah, ol' Lozza was number 1 pick in the first ever (now defunct) June draft in 1990. Started with Essendon in the (now defunct) U/19s in the 80s before a stint with the (now defunct) West Torrens in the SANFL. Had one good season with the (now defunct) Brisbane Bears, bagging 47 majors in 1991. Struggled to get a game in '92 and was delisted.

Laurence Shacky....remember him well. Always thought that him and another bloke playing at the time called Danny Noonan looked alike.

But yeah, reckon you could put that in the "what ever happened to file" Olmy.

Good research Mr Ripper!

Shacke, John Hutton and Paul Peos were all likely types in the early 90's.

I remember them all well.

In front of his kids too :(

I thought the guy could play, and never got a good go myself. Won the Bears goalkicking one year, and also kicked 25 goals in an under 19's game for Essendon once.

Wow, very sad story that I had never heard of.:(

Wonder if there are any others who have represented Brisbane who have passed away, morbid thoughts, but I can not actually think of any others thankfully:(

Yeah it was pretty sad. He was in the kitchen at home talking to his kids and then dropped dead just like that. There was no sign that he was even sick or anything like that, it just happened in an instant.
