Is it wrong that St. Kilda (rest???) all their star players and Hawthorn are now favourites to win a game they would previously have dropped. Thus changing the scene for 8th position on the ladder????
I feel that it is quite wrong :thumbsd:

You need to make your own luck. If you can't beat bottom 4 sides then what does it matter what anyone else does.

This season is the most deflating in my 30 years of supporting the side. I got nothing... no love, nothing.

Seriously I don't give a damn and I might not even turn the Telly on Sat night.

I doubt this will come as a surprise to anybody given your history.

In regards to the OP no it is not wrong. Why should St Kilda give a shit about anyone but themselves? FWIW i said 4 weeks ago that the Hawks would be the first team to beat the Saints this year and that they will make the finals. Wonder what odds i would have got for that double.

Couldn't agree more with this.

There's absolutely no point whinging about what someone else is doing in terms of how it affects the Bombers' finals chances. If Essendon had been good enough, we would have beaten Richmond and WC (not to mention NM earlier in the season). Had that have happened, we'd have a finals spot all but wrapped up by now.

TBH, whoever makes 7th and 8th this year is a long way off the pace, and only making up the numbers anyway.

I also don't mind the idea of St Kilda losing. I still like to think our 2000 side is better than theirs this year, and very selfishly don't like the idea of them trumping our record from that season.

Watch on TV ?

I thought you were at the front row of each game issuing instructions to the players and the coaching team.

I'm not doubting that a few of the injured players could and would play if this match meant more, but no doubt they are injured and a week or two off will do them wonders. Tassie will be cold and horrible, why risk your top tier players in terrible conditions if you don't need to?

List management like this happens every year, why is everyone making such a big deal about it this year? It's their list, they can pick who they want. To bitch about it and call it unfair is just stupid.

Anyway it's all moot because the Saints will roll Hawthorn easily.

It's not wrong at all, you either make it into the eight on your own performances or you accept the way the cookie crumbles. The fact that you think it's wrong that St Kilda manage their list the way they do based on what seems to be simply your desire to see Essendon make finals is laughable.

As is 2/3rds of Kelvin's contribution to the thread.

ok - you've convinced me! Would have liked to play finals this year - very disappointed in last couple of week's performances.:thumbsd:

Yes, it is wrong ... because I danm-well bet on them on Monday.

And it was also wrong for Geelong to rest the whole squad for the Bears game - then I also backed Geelong on Monday.

They're out to get me I tells ya.

Our finals hopes lay squarely within our hands and no one elses ...

What St Kilda do is completely up to them.
