yeah, during the lunch break. infact im listening to the match on the ABC. if you are in sydney switch your dial to 702. if you are in qld, the local ABC station should be broadcasting it. i doubt other states have it though.

Last test match he scored a 100 and he is probably the most in form batsmen currently in Australia. How could he be dropped?

Go Steve!!

Deserves to go to the Windies IMHO. Is in great form and one of the best captains in the history of Aussie cricket.

You would be a fool to leave his name out. If you are using his age as an excuse, then consider that age is only a number.

I'm hoping he hangs on for the home series against Bangladesh so I can see him in action again up here in Darwin. It will also mean he can add another country and 2 new test venues to his record........

at one stage he held the honour of being the only player to have got 100 against each test nation. thanks to bangladesh, he doesnt hold that anymore.

you're selling him short mate, if you check your record books, you'll find that bar bangladesh, he has a 150 against every test nation.

The selectors told Waugh that if he confirms his availability he will be selected to tour the West Indies. Since he's gone public he'll have the little (c) next to his name for yet another tour.

I'd say he made sure about the the (c) before he announced he'd play on.

I'd think he must have. Given the number of talk shows and media interviews he's got lined up over the next two days to discuss his decision he would look stupid if he wasn't named as captain.

Good on Steve Waugh. I think that most of the Aussie cricket team wanted him to tour. That's what I have read.
