Next week we have the almighty Saints. Can our boys lift and possibly bring out their DVD at round 20? Possibly not. But lets hope our boys lift and stop the Saints in their tracks and leave their streak at 19 straight wins.
Will the Saints still be resting players? And can we put up more of a fight than the Hawks did?
Go Bombers! :thumbsu:

Only chance we have is if they rest their players. We are the only team that can stop their run. North and Demons are no chance.

The boys have to try and put on enormous amounts of pressure, then once we have a turnover, move it as quick as possible. But 4 qrts of that intensity is very unlikely.
Come on Boys, This is the season on the line. :thumbsu:
All depeneds on Jay Neagle. If he kicks 8, we have a chance of coming within 20 points :(

Couldn't give a shit about the streak, the flag at the end of the year is what really mattered.
If it bleeds we can kill it.
This is what I think of our 20 game winning streak.

Exactly! When people mention the 2000 AFL season, I think premiership first and 20 game winning streak a distant second.
If it cries we can kill it.Edited for accuracy.
More apt, when considering their captain.

Are you seriously having a go at Riewoldt for crying? What about James Hird? He was another captain who showed his emotion about being injured and not being able to play for the club he lived for.

I'd rate Riewoldt as one of the better captains in the league.

All good, I whole heartedly agree with you. :thumbsu:
Just the amount of time I've seen "lulz Reiwalt crize liek a biitch, wut a hax" I've started to tar all with the same brush. IMO true champions wear their heart on their sleave.

Just the amount of time I've seen "lulz Reiwalt crize liek a biitch, wut a hax" Without trying to sound condescending, I wouldn't be mod if I were a member of "Generation Lolz".
If it were up to me, I'd instantly ban anybody who produced that rubbish.
IMO true champions wear their heart on their sleave.Fair point.
You (people) can't have it both ways; Hird rose to another level (above the superior one he was already on) due to his emotional/intellectual make-up, and with this sometimes comes outbursts of emotion ('99 crying incident, the 'gesture' towards Sheedy in the box in '06).
I have nothing against the likes of Riewoldt and Hird crying; Ablett crying every time Geelong lose, is another matter. But we'll leave that for another day, another thread.

Last day of my working week, I'm tired and have another 5 hours to grind away, so I'm gonna use that as an excuse for jumping the gun. :p

I guess I tried to sum up how I felt with an over used cliche which is really far too vague. I think that the emotion shown by Hird/Riewoldt (purely as examples, their have been many others) speaks volumes about how they truely feel about the game they played and their love of their respective clubs. Ablett on the other hand is crying over spilt milk.

Nice to see a defender of our Roo, and I agree that there is nothing wrong with playing with some emotion....it's usually indicative of what it means to the player.
Look forward to 4.40pm on Sunday :)
