View Full Version : News Prefixes
As you may have noticed, this thread had a "news" sub-heading attached to it.
A list of options for prefixes (such as "injury", "rumour", "toast") will be available to every new thread created. Not entirely necessary, but I thought it would help 'spruce up' the place a bit.
They don't have to be used, but will help to organise the board a little better.
Enjoy. :thumbsu:

Very tempted to make a roast chicken thread.

Can we have a "drivel" prefix for Kelvin's threads?
I look forward to abusing this feature.
2nd the drivel suggestion

I'm still a few days away from being able to create new threads.
I'm getting itchy and I might explode when the ban is lifted.

You know what to do Whomb;)
Why do you need to start new threads anyway Kelvin? After all you're done with footy for the season.

I enjoy stirring the natives. They all come out of their caves, dragging their knuckles and beating their chest.
I'm done in a sense of caring what happens... you know, similar to what most of the people on here who wanted to tank and play kids over the past few years.

so you'd prefer to do what North have been doing the last few years? make finals with a team not good enough to take out the premiership and now in the deep end as GC are taking all the kids?
You'd be a great coach Kelvin.

I'd prefer to do what Geelong, Sydney, Adelaide, Saints are doing or have done. :thumbsu:
Only side to win a flag due to serious tanking/list management is Hawthorn and they got lucky on so many aspects it's not funny.
Are you suggesting we try and get lucky the same way?
So you've predicted Norths future? All their kids are showing as much as ours so I'm not sure what that means.

I'm not even going to bother, you have just shown yourself to be a complete ****wit.
Please do what you say and **** off until next year.

Bait? Why would I waste my time.
I just make points that are pretty much spot on and worthy of discussion. It goes over most peoples head because the intellect is somewhat lacking on this board.
It gives me countless hours of Comedy at work to see people get worked up over someone making an obvious statement like Myers playing shizenhousen.

You're a sad reflection of what this board has become.
Essendon supporters willing to eat their own instead of having any serious debate about the club at hand.
Bait? Why would I waste my time.Beats me, but when asked why you bother creating threads your response was to get a rise out of other people. Sounds like baiting to me.

I have no idea what you're like in the real world, but your 'persona' if you will, on BigFooty is anything but an 'intellectual' one that makes 'spot on' statements.
I always had a sneaking suspicion you got off on posting crap with the thought process of "I'm saying what nobody else dares, or what nobody else understands"; you just confirmed it. You're a joke mate.
It gives me countless hours of Comedy at work to see people get worked up over someone making an obvious statement like Myers playing shizenhousen. If that's what you get out of BigFooty, I think you've missed the point of the entire forum.

Come on, back on topic. Are we gonna get a "drivel" prefix or not?
So what's the point of this forum? To create constructive conversation about football, and in this board's case, Essendon.
9/10 of your threads aren't constructive in the slightest; they're either captain obvious stuff (so you're right to a certain extent) such as "Lloyd played well" - well yeah he did, he kicked 5 goals and had 15 marks, Kelvin - or (in your own words) aimed to get a rise out of other people.
It's not even as simple as me disagreeing with you; I do with a lot of people on here. It's that you clearly go out of your way to stir people up and get a kick out of it, when some of your posts are actually a decent read and offer something constructive for others to work with.
Come on, back on topic. Are we gonna get a "drivel" prefix or not?I wish.

To create constructive conversation about football, and in this board's case, Essendon.
And that's what I try do. Not my problem others can't digest and discuss things properly. People get very shirty when you find flaws in their argument.
Not sure how the Myers threads, Knights bashing, Lloyd/Lucas stuff isn't worth discussing. It's right on topic to me and it's one of the reasons why we aren't playing finals yet.
All you need to do is look at DapperDons response above to see where some of the issues lie.

However you seem to post for shock value; the 'Sack Knights' posts after the loss to Richmond, for example. It seems to be on the back of one or two results you didn't expect, and all of a sudden you believe Dean Laidley's our answer.
I don't know, maybe you're just more impatient than the majority, or well, you clearly have a different way of thinking. I can't change that obviously, but I can ask you to tone down the shit-stirring, as once again, you know you do.
All you need to do is look at DapperDons response above to see where some of the issues lie.The quality of this board definitely needs improvement, but we're trying to eliminate as much rubbish as we can.

Mate, I just don't care what you have to say anymore. You would have to be the most negative person I have ever come across. Do you actually enjoy life or do you sit at home slagging off everything that passes you by?

Apologies Whomb, i'm just sick of his drivel.
So how about those prefixes; pretty cool hey?

What's the deal with prefixes? They don't fix something prior to the need of it being fixed! (In the grammatical sense)
