Is he not already nominated?

But yes. That body work and mark against Riewoldt was superb, as was his whole game.

He did play well but normally they need to play 3-4 good games in a row to get it. Maybe next week?

His last 3 - 4 games have been pretty good, with last night his best.

Should get it for this week.

Loved that one-on-one mark against Reiwoldt...everyone went nuts when he took that

I think that made everyone look and say "this kid could be great". There was no holding, pushing, etc, just pure body work.

I am a Hawks supporter who has a big man crush on this kid.
He is going to be a star and IMO the best player to have come out of the 2008 draft.

is there any other kids who havent been nominated that could take the nomination away from him?

He will probably be eligible next season for the award.

We done well out of the 08 draft.

Hurley
Zaharakis
Prismall

Not bad!!!!

I love him. Such a gun. He's only 19 yet he's the same size, if not bigger than Adam McPhee.

Can play forward or back and can match it with the best.

i agree, he is going to be a player. Even though he is young, I trust him with the ball in his hands down back.

out of all the good things about hurley his contested marking yesterday was sublime. Duckworth is right, i trust him to mark and do something good with the ball

Hurley and Pears will be the best two defenders in the comp in a few years. **** our spine will look good if our fwd line lives up to its potential.

Although Rich is a quality player and a real talent, i'd take hurley over him any day! A quality KPP that can play very well down back and up forward is a very hard find. But also to have one that disposes of the ball as well as he does is just an absolute gem. Although it is very early stages in hurley's career; judging from day dot to now and adding the experience he will gain, you could only asume an elite player will emerge. With Hurley and Pears in defense, i cannot remember a better young duo down back. things are looking up! :thumbsu: Go dons!
