Not much on that list interests me.

Nat Geo music might be good. And the more movie channels there are, the better.

Fox Sports Classic could be good. But I am willing to bet it will mostly be old rugby league and cricket.

In short, bring back Fox Footy please.

Also supposed to be 2 more Fox Sports HD channels

Pics here (http://johnjet-sneakpeak.blogspot.com/) of a survey someone done a few months ago showing whats the new channels are. Don't know if the pricing that is in one of the pics is what it would actually be though.

Read the previous posts about the new channels, people lauding how great it will be to have a golf channel, if people are silly enough to pay for that extra channel, as well as the other crap, I rest my case.

You people will pay to watch lawn bowls & tiddely winks next.

FTA, watch a few shows & some footy, rest of the time get off the couch & have a life. :D

So people like golf, is that a crime? This is a sports forum so it's likely there will be a few people that will like golf and like watching it. But to say people pay just to watch golf is a ridiculous comment, although from you not surprising. There's heaps "crap" on fox you'd never see on FTA just for example-

AFL-Live stuff thats only on fox, including on the couch and before the bounce which are real football shows, none of this Footy Classified crap.
NFL-yes ONE HD has some games but not the games fox shows
A-Leauge/Socceroos- only on fox
Premier League- only on fox
Cricket- domestic and international series
MTV/Max/[V]- music when I want it
Comedy- always good shows on at any time of the day, not a particular time slot
Bio- heaps of stuff you'd never see on FTA
UKTV- a lot of UK television never seen on FTA
ESPN- lots of American sports
News channels- news when you want it, not 6pm every night
CI/History/Discovery- again there's so much interesting stuff on these channels you'd never see on FTA

That's just to name a few....

I don't watch TV all the time but when I do there's always something on. I don't know what your problem is with other people enjoying it, perhaps you're just jealous because you don't have the money for foxtel.

Im not changing and I dont believe Im with Telstra so it wont effect me, Foxtel have been overpriced for years and will continue to be. I've been with them 10 years and haven't had one "thanks for being with us" letter, discount, email, whatever.

They treat their customers like shit coz they know theres basically nowhere else to go for what they offer, and them bringing in new channels is just a great way to charge more.

Next week Foxtel steps up its response to the free-to-air digital expansion with 30 new channels of its own, although only 10 to 12 will have entirely new programming schedules. Foxtel will also unveil its online catch-up TV service, which will have an initial 500 hours of current and back catalogue programming.

Improvements to the IQ2 digital video recorder will offer more recording options from the main electronic program guide menu. Foxtel is also said to have struck a deal with Telstra that will make IQ2s broadband-capable and allow them to deliver online content to the TV screen.

You got where these are coming from originally? Trying to figure out what my options are as en existing subscriber.

The IQ Value packs could have been good since I don't currently have IQ but by the looks of it I would be forced to get a kids and music package and knowledge and adventure which contains absolutely nothing of interest to me.

Remember that if you want HD content (thus IQ2) that you need a $200 line upgrade (assuming you haven't already).

Yeah, but with the price reductions on the vanilla mix and match package options you get these for very little anyway.

This is probably a carrot to get you to pay the $200 HD line upgrade fee, after which they will be phased out. The vanilla HD Sports package is $84 (Basic, Sport, HD, IQ2).

Anyone know if they will be offering more storage for the IQ2? 320GB for HD content is bugger all. TiVo offer a 1TB expansion drive, would be very surprised if there is not some sort of expansion for IQ2 on the way (Foxtel are useless bastards though).

Why won’t they give us HBO?

We Can't get the american versions of some channels because of rights issues, with the programs they show.

I dont know if that effects HBO or not
