Anyone taking interest in it?
Who's gonna win?
Possible 3rd round match: Nirvana v Guns N Roses!!!

Just a ploy to increase the amount of RHCP, U2, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Powderfinger and Nirvana songs that get played.
If a band makes to the next round, they will again have three songs for that hour, as well as one song per hour for the rest of the day when their band is not part of that hour's showdown.
It's a load of shit and no doubt the bands are seeded so that it will be a Nirvana vs RHCP final... that is, if the "voting" is even legitimate and not pre-determined.

I am sure the voting is all pre-determined in all of those Triple M competitions. In the recent Top 1000 they had up here #1 was 'Pride' by U2, I think that's evidence enough.

Pink Floyd beat Killing Heidi with only 66% of the vote. Says something about the mentality of the MMM listeners.

Funny you should mention that...
Eminem was part of today's showdowns, after receiving a "wildcard". Presumably this means losing an earlier round, and getting a reprieve.
Why didn't Aerosmith get a reprieve? Or Feargal Sharkey? or Van Halen? Or Poison? Nah... it's not rigged :rolleyes:
Anyway, how can this station claim they play nothing but rock, when the world's most famous rapper gets a song played every hour?

I don't think the bloody station even plays Hendrix. (I don't listen to MMM much so I'm not sure about that...but I doubt they do anyway.)
I'm guessing that the listeners who went with Bon Jovi didn't know who they're voting against.
