That's Jeff Beck right? Not some new group that I haven't yet heard of?

I had a Seymour Duncan JB Humbucker in the bridge of one of my Strats. Loved it. Beck uses single coils these day so in IMO they should just go ahead and rename it the the 'Mooster.'

I recently switched it out to test a Pearly Gates. It's sweet sounding, but not half the screacher the JB is for the bridge. I recommend the PG for the neck. Next time I change strings on that one, the JB is going right back in.

Yes, Beck is an ass kicker.

i was refering to beck hansen, but jeff beck is damn good as well.

I thought you were talking about Beck's, the premium German pilsener. The brewery was started by Jeff Beck in 1874 after he finished work on the Odelay album. Hence the phrase "you need a Beck's and a good lie down".

Embarrassed to admit that I haven't heard of Beck Hansen of Mellow Gold/Odelay/Seachange "fame." Oh well. I have heard of the Becks that Darky has mentioned. Got some in the fridge as a matter of fact.

I'm sticking to my guns about highly recommending the Duncan JB Humbucker. Even though it was slightly the wrong thread for it. :D
